Sep 3rd 2009 3:09PM IMO: PVP and raiding seem to be the only viable options for end game. Sad. This path of the Titans could possible be really neat, but is still only a step towards end game raiding/pvp. Guilds could very well require a full and 'correct' path for applicants. Instead of character customization, it seems like just another layer of compliance. Have the right Titan path for your class/spec, or be doomed to mediocrity forever! You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake!
I loved the attunement quests of vanilla and BC. I thought it was a shame when they were removed. After the key for Karazhan wasn't required, tons of toons in quest greens flooded the thing, and the story behind it was all lost. The quest lines were great, they awarded cool customizations like the titles (Hand of A'dal, etc..). With the richer quests that we've seen in WotLK, couldn't some really cool epic 35-long quest chains that reward choices of titles/mounts/non-combat pets/tabards be better?
I know that Blizzard wants more content available to more players, but do all the players have to have it all at once? Why not even do attunements for lesser dungeons? Long quest chain to open up specific heroics? They're opening up Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep as heroic dungeons, so can't they give us a cool attunement quest to explain why we're going back in there?
Aug 31st 2009 1:11PM Are we going to see new faction cities in the expansion? Gilneas and Undermine? Where are they?
Aug 27th 2009 6:11PM OMheck. I love the idea of things being rebuilt over a period of time. Perhaps questlines similar to the Wrathgate could rebuild buildings, redraw territories, reveal the destruction of Auberdine, (finish the darn bridge in Lakeshire?). If WotLK taught us anything about Blizzard, it's that the programmers are continually looking for ways to wow and amaze us. The Wrathgate questline was just a taste of what phasing has the potential to do. Retake Gnomeregan? Raze Southshore? Herald the introduction of Sylvanas' Dark Rangers?
