Mar 30th 2012 2:33PM Damn. I was hoping you could get a drunk ex-EVE player to call out your enemies in front of a live audience.
Guess that "declaration of war" demo wasn't as successful as they'd hoped.
Mar 30th 2012 2:27PM Rift. It'll teach me the fishing and survival skills I'll need.
(Actually, I'd choose it for the regular updates)
Mar 26th 2012 12:16PM That photo just pains me.
I'm not a WoW-hater, but this picture screams "Saturday Morning Cartoons". There's just no going back.

Yep. Given that the destination is all about statistics, they portrayed the most commonly-occurring pairing set of their members.
Mar 22nd 2012 6:13PM Dammit. I got married before becoming an MMO gamer. You're telling me I could have had more options if I'd waited 'til I battled the Burning Crusade?

"...but it seems odd to have two free weekends so close together."
They know they lost people after the first month for a variety of reasons, and have released a large patch that hopefully will fix some of the concerns. It makes sense to get people back to see if they like the new changes enough to subscribe again.

"This should have been in the release. "
Hmmmm, that explains why guilds haven't existed until now. People couldn't possibly find a guild without it.
Seriously, it's great Trion's made it easier to find a guild for the small percentage of people who couldn't ask in some form of chat, but since the majority figured out how to make it happen, I'm glad they worked on content instead.

Yes, how dare Trion cater to the market that does, y'know, enjoy raiding.
Especially with weddings and parades and wardrobes and two-man dungeons and pets and stuff. What is there left to do for non-raiders?
I get that it's not the game for you. I sincerely hope you find one that's a better fit. But seriously? "...being around raiders strutting like peacocks"? I've never raided in Rift, but I've never been short of things to do, nor have I seen these peacocks of which you speak. They're too busy raiding, while I'm too busy chasing dragons around Ember Isle.
"...Before long the "scrubs" will realize they don't have to be the fodder in place simply to make the elitists feel superior. "
...you really need to stop tying your self-esteem to a game. Any game.
