Oct 8th 2009 8:25AM I dont know how to tell you this but im kind a big deal
I have many leatherbound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany
Aug 28th 2009 4:31AM Not true, I have a new pc and fibre optic internet. The video was choppy. I could see that my internet had more then enough bandwidth for the stream but it was always laggy during the warcraft panels. When the presenters were talking to pass the time it was fine. Then wow panel and OMG LAG. Im happy because I just rewatched the parts I wanted on the catch up thing. So not anoyed.
Regarding blizzcon, I would love to go but I see no point. Living in England its just too far to travel. I would pay a small fortune for the travel. Then for Hotels. Then of course for the amount of blizzard merchandise while im there. I was debating going next year but TBH id rather go to Brazil.
But I agree that it might not be fair to get the same pet. But I am glad that I got a bite of blizzcon even though im 5,500 miles away.
Jun 10th 2009 10:34AM LOL well spotted,
Silly people rating this comment down. He isnt making fun at the dragonvein guild but the typo.
May 1st 2009 12:11PM Hey guys
First Pexxle, the buff is defenetly worth it and and really should be considered. its a 320AP buff, last for 20 seconds (not 10) and has a cool down of 40. This means that for 50% of my fight I will have an AP buff.
I did do some experiments of course and I did have a wolf in my stable. I got it to 80 and did some DPS tests. The wolfs dps was slightly lower then the cats but the buff was by far the best part and my dps was better with a wolf then with a cat. Regarding recount, its rather impossible to tell when howl is on but its on 50% of the time with all the hunters procs and cooldowns.
But yes, I do agree that if my wolf vs another hunters cat....my wolf would die but that situation would never happen. Infact in raids, I would like to keep quite a close eye on my wolf. There are many encounters where I need to call it back during a raid. Now for instance if I was doing heigan the unclean with my wolf. He would stay right by me and buff me. If I had my cat...he would look nice.....and do nothing else.
Yes you could title this article "What pet to choose if you plan to be lasy and send your pet in while you do nothing" but its not. The articles objectives are to discus whats the best pet to take raiding to max your dps, and its wrong.
"Which is the best type to give you the biggest boost to your damage?"
answer- a wolf
Its not even a point of view, its true.
Akhi, totally agree with you mate. If you prefer cats then roll with a cat. But, im in a raiding guild and also the class leader. If any of my hunter brothers wanted to keep there cat, they can. But that said we all need to be on form and do well on dps that is our primary goal. So we roll with wolfs as we have researched it and know they are best dps pet.
Yeah, its hard to be an expert in something with so many other people claiming to be experts. But this is common knowledge and really shows a lack of research. Sorry
May 1st 2009 7:22AM Poor Jessica Klein
Yes, I am afraid the only pet for raiding is wolves. There 320ap buff 50% of the time puts them far far ahead of the next dps pet. We have three raiding hunters with three differnt specs (BM, MM, SV) and we all have wolves. We have two trials training up wolves.
I am thinking about the poor freshly dinged 80 hunters reading this advice thinking that cats are the best dps pet and I do agree that this article should be removed as bad advice.
Comon Jessica, once I saw the stats for Furious Howl I knew it was a must compared to all the others surely you must of as well.
But you have done some great articles. The places where to get the nicest looking pets was great.
Apr 28th 2009 10:02AM Good idea for a topic
In a new future patch I am keen to see.
A pinpoint on a map for when members of your party are in an instance. You can see where every player is in the world. It shouln't be hard to have a little pointer saying player x is in instance z.
Being invincible and not able to atack 10 seconds entering or leaving an instance. How many times have I walked into an isntance after a wipe and still see mobs running around or leave Naxx to summon and find 25 members of the oposite faction standing there to root and MC me.
Some kind of armor colouring feature. Its not hard to do and as a hunter pre Ulduar was sa pain. Every single hunter had t7.5 shoulders...it was silly. A bit of variety would be nice.
LFG channle lets you easy access there and then all the essential stats of people you are pugging with.
Third profession slot. Also a new profession that uses skinning. Its rther useless at the momment now that my leatherworking is at 450.
Flying in the old world would just be nice. I know it involves a lot of work but.....it would be sweet.
Something phasing involved sounds great also
Apr 20th 2009 8:48AM I am still getting used to it but yeah, its great.
Im a hunter and you would think that dual spec wouldn't help me much but your wrong. I have two survival specs, one for pure dps, one if I notice that I am running OOM too quickly.
Sadly though because of being in a raiding guild I have not had a chance of doing anything outside of Ulduar and farming for gold for future repairs.
So the argent tournement has so far been untouched :(
Apr 7th 2009 9:32AM Well the guild will be going strait to Ulduar that day. And because I work I have to squeeze in my patch to do list in an hour before raid. I will probs get dual spec, choose the best two specs for my class. Then jump to the raid before I have had time to settle and expect to DPS like I have never DPSed before. I haavnt had a chance to go on to the PTR recently but I will probably head on there soon and check my damage.
But once we clear Ulduar I will head down to the Argent Tournement. That looks exiting and I dont know much about it.
