Jul 14th 2011 3:23PM This seems like the line to me, all the other stuff they charge for really is extra but grouping is fundamental to the game. RealID is part of the game now, they should not charge for RealID grouping. I very much doubt this involved a lot of work to implement given the fact that we can randomly be assigned to a group with the people in question already.

Oct 13th 2010 5:01PM It's clunky as hell and it has worse dps, what is to like? On short fights like trash our dps is often nonexistent as other classes kill things before we get a hit of any consequence in. Divine Storm is fairly useless now, because you need 3 holy power for it to do anything and getting 3 holy power up is never going to happen on a trash pull before most of the mobs are dead. On boss fights, our dps is ok but down a couple thousand (in bis gear). Other melee seem to be in the same boat though.

My main complaint is not the dps anyway, it's the clunky "rotation" that is not a rotation at all due to still being mostly FCFS and heavy dependence on procs. As we get more mastery the number of procs will increase and this will get even clunkier. I fail to see how this is any better than what we had before.

I never thought I'd say this but I may actually just quit. Not out of rage or indignation but heartbreak. The same thing happened to my shadow priest from BC when they changed the rotation etc, and I switched classes then. But I don't know if I have the heart to do that this time.

Aug 9th 2010 10:33PM Another note in the dreamwalker vein, when the fire skele comes out he will not start his AOE until either someone attacks him or he reaches his target. So a lot of times it's better to let him run where he is going (presumable where more people can dps him) than to jump him immediately as melee tend to do.

Feb 2nd 2010 6:05AM Less-Rabi is already easy to get to, just go in the back door to the instance and you are right there. Similarly if you screw up the achievement just wipe and run back in until you get it done. Btw, if you can bribe an ele shaman to spec for 5-second shocks he can hit the first one after 50% and then just spam his interrupt to catch the rest automatically.

Oct 7th 2009 2:02PM This fix won't do anything for those times when stealth simply fades for no reason at all. I'm talking about when it just falls off while you're sitting there doing exactly nothing. That kind of thing will tend to prevent even this bandaid fix from working as intended.

So unless your position is that video games as an industry are going away, ATVI seems like a pretty solid investment. If Motley Fool's CAPS system works as designed, plenty of other investors agree (giving ATVI a 5-star rating).

Replenishment's wild ride {WoW}

Jun 24th 2009 2:19PM What chaps my hide about it for shadowpriests is the mechanic. To get replenishment up, you have to cast VT and then MB to trigger it. This basically rules it out for trash pulls, and limits what you can do on bosses (especially if you have to move). Whereas on my ret pally I can get replenishment up with my main attack. They should just have it tied to MB with no prereq. I think they wanted to retain the flavor of VT from the old days but it's an awful playstyle and the whole thing made me give up on shadow for my priest.
