Nov 6th 2011 10:43PM I think this TFH theory is great. I think it ties really well into Sargeras motivation to destroy the planet. It never made sense why he was so committed on Azeroth, but if THE original source of universal chaos is contained within the planets core, it makes sense. He originally brought order to Azeroth so he would know the true history of the planet. Now that he is devoted to returning the universe to chaos, he wants to unleash Azeroth from it's prison.
Now onto Algalon, it never made much sense why we fought him after killing Yogg-Saron. If he was analyzing the matrix of the whole planet to determine if Azeroths prison was compromised then things click for me. If he was concerned just with the old gods we have seen, he probably should have flipped the switch regardless of the outcome of our fight. I think the old gods we've seen so far are just small beans in comparison…
Jul 9th 2011 2:58AM I've downed Shannox twice on 10 man and we go with approach number 1. We have a Mage and a feral Druid DPS rageface (they cover for each other in case one is being face raged). The damage is quite manageable on the tanks. We have 1 healer assigned to each tank, and a 3rd healer that heals rageface targets and raid heals.
We get each dog down to 20% then we have most of our dps switch to Shannox until 40%. We found if we pushed any of them below those areas, that we ran the risk of either killing a dog early or causing one to berserk. After the dogs are dead we start using our big healing cooldowns to keep the raid alive
Jan 4th 2011 12:13PM Hi Dawn
I have two questions: first, why does shadowfiend return more mana when used during hymn of hope? My understanding was we lose the additional mana from the 20% buff when it fades. Does the 20% extra gained from firms during this time stay?
Second, I'm wondering if you have any tips for using hymn of hope. I find when I'm running on empty in 5 mans, usually the group is in rough shape and it stresses their health more when I'm channeling. I try to let the tank know to use a cd, but sometimes it's too late or they have none off cd.
