Nov 10th 2010 4:45PM Oh man, who would have thought a really ugly, big-nosed midget troll with bat wings could be so awesome heh. Sorry cow, it's been great knowin' ya.
Mar 29th 2010 10:39PM An alternate path, from 11-19 anyway, is WSG. I'm currently leveling my third shammie (Yes, I know, I have issues), and I had so much fun leveling purely through bg's, and the totem quests. I play primarily during prime-time, so getting into WSG is never much of a wait. Granted, this works much better on Horde-side, because Alliance never wins; but then again if you're playing a shaman and you're not a troll, tauren or orc you've already lost, you overgrown, hentai-jawed smurf. ...at least until dwarves get shammies. Mmm, dwarf shammies. (Is well aware that'll be his fourth shammie, thankyouverymuch. Like you don't have your own issues. Pfft.)
I've gone all the way to 52 in fairly short order, purely through pvp, class-quests, and a handful of random dungeon finders for loot. ...I also have a lot of gold from the other two shammies... so that helps. By far the most fun I've had getting a shammie to 40 and even beyond. Anyway, it's a worthwhile path for someone who wants a high level shammie, but is ready to abandon the toon before it gets good because of the sheer, existential-inducing boredom of leveling through the first 30 or so :)
Good guide btw ;)
Aug 21st 2009 3:55PM ZOMG archaeology, awesome! Now I can claim WoW fees as a tax writeoff for work! Haven't been this excited since my first dig hehe
Aug 20th 2009 2:03AM And forgot to add, none of these actors would break a budget, or steal top billing. Not a knock against them; if I listed them here, I think they're awesome. Just not "Hollywood Leading Wo/Man" names, but all, or most at least, fan favorites in the genre.
Aug 20th 2009 1:58AM Randomly filling roles here, mostly humans, undead, elves and orcs, maybe a gnome or dwarf as well.
Brian Austin Green would make a good Varian I think. Karl Urban would as well.
Summer Glau would be perfect for Sylvanas, she'd have the creepy ethereal beauty and the "eternal (but dead) youth" look. Shirley Manson would also be good here, just for how well she pulls off emotionless and creepy while still remaining hot.
Lena Headey would make a good Aegwynn, to Felicia Day's Jaina Proudmoore.
(Hmm, is it obvious I was a fan of T:TSCC? heh)
Kevin McKidd as Uther.
Morena Baccarin as Tyrande. Or possibly as Lady Katrana Prestor.
Alan Tudyk as Mekkatorque, or any gnome really.
Bernard Hill as Magni Bronzebeard. Gerard Butler might make a good Brann.
Bill Nighy as Gul'dan or Ner'zhul or Teron Gorefiend or other scary-arse orc with facial tics.
Ron Pearlman as Thrall.
Milla Jovovitch as Garona.
Sam Elliot as Lothar, if the accent was toned down.
James Purefoy as Aiden Perenolde or Aedelas Blackmoore.
Saw somewhere mention of David Wenham as Arthas, of which I approved.
Andy Serkis as a troll, because, come on, who else are they gonna find who can pull off that posture?
And I second (or 24th, or whatever we're on) Bruce Campbell for Elling Trias.
And the guy who played Gambit in the otherwise sucky Wolverine movie as my rogue ;P
Jul 24th 2009 8:03PM HAH! Just noticed you posted this, Trias was my first thought too! ;)
Jul 24th 2009 8:01PM Bruce Campbell as Elling Trias, Master of Cheese!
Jul 21st 2009 11:54PM I think many of the above posters are missing the point of this article. It's a human interest piece, not a story about someone getting phat lewts. Whether in real life or online, it's always nice to be appreciated. Here in WoW, some people go above and beyond to provide an environment that their friends can enjoy to its fullest. This was just a nice little story about one guild wanting to show their appreciation for the hard work and dedication their healing lead has put forth, and the fact that they did it in the boldest statement a raiding guild could make in game: they sacrificed their rights to the best loot currently available just so they could show her how much she's appreciated. And Elnore's acknowledgment of the fact, that, heck, yeah, it feels nice to be appreciated, even if appreciation was never what she was after. I think everyone can relate to that. Especially healers.
Grats Elnore. You're obviously loved ;)
And while I'm at it, kudos to anyone and everyone who's ever kept me standing when I was ready to go down. I appreciate it. Though I'll still roll against you if I'm on my hunter ;P
