Along the way he tries really hard to make small talk; one of the first npcs to do that, I think.
And yes, I know he reappears in hyjal, but no, it's not the same.
Jan 14th 2012 8:46AM I'm a bit of an altaholic (every class toat least 80 so far) and I can say with confidence that every one of my chars has their own story and personality. It's not anything that I've say down and developed, per se, it's something that's grown organically from hours and hours played.
For instance, my main is a grumpy undead priest, annoyed at people who carelessly stand in bad stuff (it would be so much easier if you mind control them out, but then they get angry) and at being denied the quiet embrace of death. My goblin shaman, on the other hand, loves swinging her hammers at enemies, mostly because she'd rather be back in her workshop making some new toy that will fail spectacularly as soon as she tries to use it. She also annoys her trainers by constantly asking if it would be possible to use her fire elemental to power a steam engine she's dreaming up. And so on, and so on...
Jan 6th 2012 5:54PM I loved Ulduar because it FELT epic... the first battle was with the loot pinata of FL, but it took a good 5-10+ minutes in a vehicle just to traverse the area, not to mention the time spent killing trash. All raids are oversized and designed to make you feel small, but Ulduar, in particular, felt like it was the hall of the titans themselves. It's also very aesthetically beautiful; on a PTR patch before the raid was released I spent a good hour running around inside the empty instance, just taking screenshots.
ICC was another instance that had amazing themeing and feeling like that (Arthas battle, anyone?), but with over a year to work on it, many people had time to get bored of it. Ulduar was current content for just a few months, meaning some people only got a taste, and always wanted to go back and see the rest.

It's getting to be that time of year again; has there been any (probably datamined) companion pet models that would point to the new pet store releases? They've been adding them around this time of year, and I'm curious what they might be!
Apr 21st 2011 3:27PM I disagree about skinning - I recently rolled a new alt on a fresh server, and using skinning + herbing i've already built up a couple hundred gold in 2 nights playtime. Skinning is really great for time invested over profit earned because literally, you aren't doing anything extra besides skinning the mobs you already killed for such and such quest.
Feb 7th 2011 4:31AM I have a question that I keep forgetting to ask - Now that we can fly, there are a buncha ruins behind the "public" area of undercity (up top, ground level, no elevator.)
Were those present in vanilla and we couldn't access them, or were they added in cata? More importantly, is there ever a possibility of that being developed a little bit? (i.e. Vendors/trainers being added, barriers taken down so you don't have to fly in?)
It's a really cool area and it looks like someone spent a lot of time on it.
