Jan 7th 2011 1:25PM I've got a question.. wheres the questions that warrant more then one sentence answers?
And I think the person who asked where the Mail box was in Uldum wanted the answer to be a little more specific then what was stated in the patch notes.. Why answer a question if your just going to be vague about it? Is writing "Outside the Pharaoh's hut" that hard?

You do play WoW right? You do know that uncut Meta's aren't found from nodes right?.. unless your mean the red gems, but that doesn't make sense for what your saying..
Its hard to understand what you mean when your statement only becomes clear at the end, but to me you don't sound like you know what your talking about.
As for the cut design being expensive.. Yeah it will be.. but once a handful of people on a server get it they're be undercutting each other right down to the price of every other meta.. Not really a great reason to hold off on cata if you ask me.. If you told me any of the other countless reasons people seem unhappy with the expansion I'd believe you, but not this one.. Worrying about gems is only a nuisance at best.
Dec 29th 2010 7:34PM Yeah I was going to say why wouldn't they really like the business. 100 packages at once probably sucks and all but its also big business for them.
Dec 28th 2010 6:23PM I'm sorry Sacco but theres also a point here you may have missed having written it. Your knowledge of the game is one thing but your understanding of what your actually doing is another. But what you also need to keep in mind is the fact that Tanks are 1/2 the control system of the group and most tanks think their they king.
Its all about how comfortable you are with your class/spec and frankly even those who are rushy, like you sound like you are, don't really get the complete makeup of their role and are never really taught that if they can't be kind enough to wait on someone who may need mana ( like the other half of the control system -the healer) or to give helpful, nice, advice to those around them then they aren't really doing anything to help the group at all.
Tanks are the defacto leaders of groups despite where the crown sits on out UI's and this is something many tanks, even old ones, need to learn. Its a mentality that just runs through tanks and frankly its one of the reasons why groups fall apart so quickly: Since Cata started I haven't had one group where the tank didn't leave or the tank didn't cause the whole group to deconstruct. Why? Because their ego inflates so big that even Ragnaros has a hard time finding hair to keep himself alive and they start acting like jerks for the smallest reasons.
So what this should seriously say is this: Don't blame your hubris on the fact that this game is old and you've played it for so long (or even the lack of skill from new players, because I don't know where your playing but new players, even right now, aren't THAT abundant given my own experience leveling a worgan). Your being a elitist even to those people in your group who have also played the game for a long time and who may not totally 100% know the inner workings of their new class. Theres no excuses for being a Jackass and no way to fix it other then stop, look around at whats going on and pace the group different based on those changing needs. If the healer needs mana after each pull find out why. If the Mage keeps pulling off you FIND OUT WHY. And seriously, be nice about it before we make you wait 30mins for your next insta-queue, because most groups have 0 problem making a tank wait for their runs given how tanks make our lives miserable.
Great ending though Sacco, Making it into a selfish quest so that you (and whoever is taking this to heart) get what they want out of it instead of just helping people makes this game just SOOOOO much better for the rest of us - Doesn't really show me you've learned any thing from this revelation your writing about.
Dec 28th 2010 5:55PM This is my entry :P
Dec 26th 2010 5:09PM It depends on the rewards your looking for most. If your looking for the staff from the Dwarf archaeology then stick with Eastern Kingdoms. If your looking for the Night Elf archaeology trinket then Kalimdor is your best bet..
But that said both continents do have the same race digsites on them (well except later when Kalimdor has the Tol'vir) its just in Eastern Kingdoms there's only one real consistant spot I can think of for Night elf stuff fragments (off the top of my head) and there are very few Dwarf spots on kalimdor.
If you don't care about a certain reward though go ahead and just stick with one continent
Dec 26th 2010 4:57PM Not sure if its been said yet Dawn but you linked Biting Wind, which is a dagger, in the Wand section
Dec 24th 2010 12:36PM "I'm wondering what everybody thinks of the new dungeons. I can't put my finger on it, but to me, they just don't seem to flow as good as most of the Lich King dungeons."
Personally, they don't flow well. I'm all for needing to CC and for them to be hard but the stop and start jerkiness of all of them and the massive size of some of them are extremely off putting, and this is from a person who spent long Saturdays trying to get to and through the room of death in BRD back in vanilla.. Personally if I'm going to spend that much time in a place I don't want to plow through it, but I want it to feel like I'm getting somewhere too, which right now it doesn't feel like. I'm also looking for a little more reward for my trouble. Theres not a million trash mobs like the old days but if we're expected, nay told, to get reps up spending so long in one place then they can throw us a bone and increase the rep returns a little for our effort.
"My guess? Because you already earned XP from killing the mob, they don't want to give you XP for ripping its skin off, too."
My guess is that its this too but it still isn't fair. Enchanters have to be feeling the same way, they don't get anything but mats for disenchanting an item -specially since, unless your buying all your greens, disenchanting can be very few and far between. Miners and Herbalists really don't have to go too far out of their way to get their skills up, I'm sorry but thats just an excuse. and most of the time they have to kill something pathing over their intended gathering node, so honestly they're usually having to fight something as well. Even if it was a small amount of XP I think Enchanters and Skinners should be entitled to the same perk miners and herbalists get, specially since skinners really do need to do a lot more work before and after they get to the skins.
Dec 24th 2010 12:22PM "The people who don't like things yell the loudest, and that's what you're seeing (on the internet, that statement makes sense)"
Actually its the fact that so much bad can be said it outweighs the good, if more good were to be said there would be much more debate from those people who think it is good.
One thing anyone who's played this game should know by now is that if someone thinks they're right then they're going to voice that opinion till their eyes bleed, whether they like the thing they're talking about or not...
"But overall? It's pretty good."
Thats your opinion and your entitled to it, but the way its stated here its the law of the land and that's not right. Preface comments like that with "in my opinion" or something. Theres a wealth of things that can obviously said to counter such a statement.
Dec 20th 2010 1:54PM Yeah but what your saying is they don't get to learn anything because you want to get in and out faster, which effects both of your points. They can't get the gist of whether or not they should be there if they can't go in and try it, so they don't really get to the point where they're good enough for you. They can't learn how to work as a team if they don't wipe a million times and learn that hard lesson for themselves, and thus don't meet your standards. And they certainly aren't going to listen to you here telling them they shouldn't be doing this "before they're ready", because almost none of them care what you think even if your sitting there trying to give actual, helpful, advise.
Coupled with your rant at the end all you seem to be saying is "I don't really want to help anyone but myself by getting a group I can breeze through these places with". I want to say, right now, that 95% of the people queuing up for any role now don't have a clue to what they're getting into, both with the instances and the groups they're coming into, even if they've done them all on normal -which is exactly the same wall people knocked against for months when heroics were started in BC.
