Breakfast Topic: We get bored {WoW}

May 15th 2010 2:29PM Have Druids cat-up and /dance at the bank entrance in Dala. Always draws a crowd :)

WRUP: All mounts are equal edition {WoW}

Apr 24th 2010 4:00AM Ground mount; I have to say the Amani War Bear from Zul'Aman. It looks brilliant and massive when used by a Tauren. Downside is though, that I can hardly enter any building when mounted. Tauren + Amani War Bear = too big for its own good. If I need to enter buildings (in a city or in a ballteground) I usually go for the White Deathcharger (Argent Tournament purchase).

Flying mount; I always end back at the Cenarion War Hippogryph. It has a certain charme I can really appreciate.

WoW Patch 3.1 PTR Shaman changes {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 4:47AM I do like the sound of Booming Echoes, especially when combined with some/all Lava Burst talents and/or ghlyps. However, I do not understand why Earth Shock is not affected by this buff. A three second Earth Shock (6 sec default minus 1 sec of Reverberation talent and 2 secs of Booming Echoes talent) would have made a Elemental Shaman much more survivable in PvP against for example a Mage.

Breakfast Topic: No ifs or bots. {WoW}

Feb 18th 2009 9:36AM I have used one to get my fishing skill from 360 to 375.

It took me two or even three days to gather the guts to actually do it. I did not use a bot, I used a macro (a very very long one to boot) and some legal program that programmers use to run scripts or whatever. I had to make sure I had no wowbot.exe running of course.

I flew to Swamp of Sorrows, traveled all the way to the coast on the east and as far away as possible from the view of adventurers. I read and obeyed the 'rules' of the Macro (first person mode, no visible UI), than started the script/macro program.

It has been a long time ago but I remember the macro sort of 'scanned' the middle part of the screen, threw the lure out, continued 'scanning', caught a fish, did not loot the fish and did this again and again for as long as I wanted. I was quite stunned and intrigued by how it all worked. A bit like seeing a magician for the first time when you were 6 years old.

I believe using a bot is wrong (back than I though so too) but in my opinion I did not harm anyone using this fishing macro. I did not gain PvP gear by it, I did not screw over my teammates in a battleground, I did not make a profit in mats that sells for 50g a stack. This does not make it right of course.

Heh, feels kind of funny telling this. I never told my guildies.

Ow, I never used the macro again btw, or any other form of bot.
