Alganon making the switch to the full free-to-play model {Massively}

Aug 11th 2010 1:00PM It seems to me that when a game fails, they go f2p...

It seems to me when a game was always fail, they are f2p...

If seems to me when they try to compete with WoW, Warhammer, EQ2, and EVE, they go f2p... (I probably missed few)...

But in the end they always get it wrong...they fail because the companies are too greedy...

Allods Online previews the next big patch {Massively}

Jul 2nd 2010 3:43PM Great game until these new features surface. I was willing to play the game through but now they give the player little option but to cash shop. I was willing to pay before for the cash shop items but now it's a necessity.

This is my cue to ditch this game and go back to WoW. At least my 150$ per year will now be spent on a game with support, heartfelt changes, excellent end game and top pvp performance/gameplay.

If you are willing put up with the changes, good luck and happy grind fest end game.

Runes of Magic introduces new mount, brings back old favorites {Massively}

Jun 26th 2010 9:11PM Boring.

Is Massively's role to help sell items from mmo's or just report...?

Runes of Magic Chapter III expansion now live {Massively}

May 19th 2010 12:25PM This game feels like it never got out of alpha development.

I have played this game since release and I can definitely say that you can play for free and have a great time. But, if you want to be part of the elite and best of the game, you will feel tremendous pressure to shell out serious cash. There are ways to make money but, ultimately, you may spend hundreds on this game to remain at the top. I guarantee that you will spend more on this game than a subscription type.

Its persistent lag issues and almost daily breakdown of Siege War (pvp) servers makes this game incomplete and lacks competent attention from the company. Do not play this game if you want to pvp, you will be greatly disappointed/frustrated.

The number of dungeons is deceptive. At certain levels, you can only play one or two of them. When you reach the end game, you will hit boredom with five. Stick to WoW and other mmo's for a better end game replay experience.

Professions are a very long and super tedious process.

Storyline has no soul...weak at most.

The community is great. The people that surround you are the ones that will keep you playing.

Conclusively, play this game because you want to try out a potentially superior product. If your tastes are for the polished and total game experience, walk away.

The Daily Grind: Warhammer Online's billing woes {Massively}

Apr 13th 2010 10:47AM When a company allows anything remotely like this happen to my hard earned money and makes me go through this, the answer is simple: I quit playing. I implore those to just pack our bags and go elsewhere.

Cabal Online is shutting down in the West {Massively}

Mar 23rd 2010 11:28AM I would of played Cabal but the fact that it was not available to persons out side the North American continent boggled my mind. A substantial amount of players are living in other countries other than the US that may have played the MMO. They crippled themselves in their exclusivity and this may have indicated so.

Gala-Net releases Allods trailer {Massively}

Mar 11th 2010 12:47PM You're comments are right on the money and kudos for a well written scolding.

I would like to add that, probably has already been said, this game is exponentially more expensive to play in the NA market. The game is polished and well put together with great features. If it were considerate of the NA players' pockets from the onset, I would gladly put down my current FTP MMO: Runes of Magic for it. Russians play cents while NA pay and will continue to pay astronomical dollars. Allods (NA) has come on record and stated that both Russian and NA markets are separate. This is a CLEAR and BLATANT statement; a slap to the face and wake up call to the NA population. They are going to inflate prices in the game so that they milk your pockets because the population can afford to pay the piper. Do not fall for the "there are exchange rates", "different markets", and "totally separate" comments from gPotato. Those are comments to blind the public and create excuses. gPotato will run the NA and Russian markets so how is THAT separate or an exchange. IT'S THE SAME COMPANY. Allods isn't the only game that practices this kind of bussiness, e.g., Runes of Magic does the same thing just not as "ass-faced" as Allods.

Bottom line is DO NOT PLAY this game. The FEAR OF DEATH end game mechanic and over priced bag upgrades is where gPotato will get you. You will end up paying far more than US$20 per month. I am switching to a subscription based game myself: EVE Online looks good. Anyone care to join me?

Japanese hardware sales, Aug. 31 - Sept. 6: Does not compute edition {Joystiq}

Sep 14th 2009 4:00PM Your point is well taken, 'ill trooper'. My intention was not to imply that individuals solely take their PS3s and attain the new console by some gimmick but to imply that they take any console, including the 360, Wii, and/or DSx.

I have a 360 and would bask in the glory of that which is PS3 if I was able to trade-in my console and games for the PS3 at $299. Because of several reasons, I cannot easily reach a stateside local to complete that transaction, for one.
