Dec 15th 2010 6:32PM Type "us.battle.net" into your address bar MANUALLY. Never take it for granted that that link goes to where they want you to think it does!
I did that, and went to the reset page, and reset my password there... and then was unable to login for 36 hours, presumably because battle.net authentication servers can't handle nested resets, or perhaps the load of so many resets FUBARed the process.
Anyway, Blizz customer service was no help, and treated my request for them to fix the mess was a report of a hacked account. Now my account is locked down.
And my WoW password is not shared with any other account, person, nor is it even written down. PLUS, I have an authenticator.
The whole farking password reset was unnecessary to begin with... and now my account is locked because of their total, utter stupidity. I'm pissed, to say the least.
Jul 27th 2010 7:04PM LOL, Alex. You kept your word; no TERA T&A this week.
(Personally, I like the high elf chick. Maybe next week.)
Jul 20th 2010 4:12PM Bioware is the maker of the Baldur's Gate series... if they did a real MMO, I'd definitely play it. Before WoW came along, Baldur's Gate II was the pinnacle of CRPGs for me...
Jul 20th 2010 4:09PM Those are TERA Castanic females, designed to appeal to adolescent Korean boys (and those who never developed past adolescence). Don't hate them just because they look exactly like San Fernando Valley "actresses" who have their legal ages registered at an address in Chatsworth and require weekly HIV screenings... they're designed to look that way. TERA is a Korean MMO being "culturally ported" to a US audience. Basically by adding PVE quests and a storyline more complex than Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
(And if you think those toons are gratuitous T&A, you should see the High Elf females.)
There are other races in the game, and most of them aren't teenage male fantasy-bait, but those are the ones that generate site-clicks for the trade blogs... If you dig around their site a bit, the game is visually stunning in less provocative ways, as well.
Jul 16th 2010 12:44AM Most of my dates were like that too, until I upgraded my video adapter to one that could handle MPEG-4 and DIVX video.
Jul 11th 2010 10:34PM "In the old pen-and-paper days, this person would have been called a game master."
1) "The old pen-and-paper days" aren't so old. Geez, you make it sound like nobody plays AD&D anymore, or something.
2) Most players use pencils.
Wow and other MMORPGs still can't hold a LED Keychain Flashlight to a good Forgotten Realms or Greyhawk campaign with an experienced DM and honest-to-goodness First or Second Edition rules.
Jun 3rd 2010 12:06AM oops, I mean Thu 03Jun2010. Sorry. Still one entry.
