Aug 8th 2011 8:53PM You are completely off base with your response. The GM is being way too totalitarian. There are several of my guildies who can solo trash and we let them whenever they feel like it. The fact that you even consider giving credence to a control freak like this GM is mind boggling absurd.
Raiders are not slaves to their guilds, if you treat them like such they will find another place to raid. Treating people like they are beholden to you is probably why your not farther into the firelands, your good raiders left because you wanted to exert too much control over them.
I don't comment often, but this "advice" is just ridiculous.
Jul 5th 2011 6:18PM Unless i missed something haste no longer was supposed to decrease the duration of Dots/Hots. This became a major problem for heroic t10 geared affliction warlocks. Also my 10 hard mode guilds resident resto druid talks a lot about how much of the "generally accepted" stat gearing choice are different in 10 man when your asked to heal differently and in different roles on many fights.
Good article introducing a lot of people to the concept of haste and their hots.
Apr 26th 2011 4:44PM I had an original Nostromo for years, but it broke about six months ago, would love to check out the new hotness
Feb 28th 2011 4:16PM The reason is extremely efficient bot programs. They're everywhere and the programming and pathing is getting better all the time and blizzard is doing nothing to stop it.
Jan 11th 2011 5:03PM Tol Barad is utterly terrible, almost all of the expansion has been amazing, but Tol Barad has been a complete and utter failure.
Jan 10th 2011 1:38AM For some people who are confused, it really moves into a Healing Per Mana issue vs. Healing Per Second issue (HPM vs. HPS). The splitting of the WoG's uses one additional GCD that could be used to not only heal another target, but proc everything also. While one method uses less mana, one gives more healing. Its a neat trick, extremely useful during times of high movement. But against regular raid, heroic boss, or large trash pull damage the small mana savings might equate to 1 or 2 more holy lights down a 5mins stretch, where lower throughput might mean someone slips deeply into the danger range meaning you have to use a flash heal, which instantly wipes out the mana savings of a dozen splits.
