Feb 3rd 2011 12:17PM Have you actually discovered the other instances, LFG won't put you in them if you haven't discovered them.
Jan 12th 2011 4:16PM I am astonished by some of the opionions/whining in this article.
"Mana-using DPS classes are balanced with the idea that they will never run out of mana in mind -- why don't we just make that an actuality? "
So, you are upset that they may simplify the game by taking out mana drains as a pvp tactic but you think that they should simplify the game by essentially removing mana as a resource for dpsers? Other classes are paced by their resource!
Drain mana was a huge problem for me in arenas during LK, I played a pally healer and I was constantly screwed over by priests who instead of healing would just run around behind me mana burning and chasing me away from my fellow dpser who was slowed/stun locked by their rogue/frost mage partner. I had no hope of beating a priest healer if only both healers were left standing due to that extremely unfair mechanic. I think that any time one button can win an arena for you it's lame. Constantly being feared while your mana is sucked away from you is only fun for the OP warlock. Don't worry you locks still have lots of annoying tactics to use for winning in pvp!
Mana is supposed to be precious now, therefore allowing someone to burn it from you is even more of an unfair advantage. If mana burn were removed I wouldn't be sad about it at all, I have constantly complained that it was unfair and cheesey. Either more classes need to have it or no classes get it at all imo. I would prefer no classes having it since it's not viable against all classes and what fun is it for a healer or dpser when someone has sucked away all your mana leaving you with just your low dps melee/wand?
Nov 18th 2010 7:22PM oops, yes thanks for the correction. I meant 470!
Nov 18th 2010 5:05PM They also made it so people no longer have the engineering or mining skill to harvest from lv 82 and 83 mobs in Ulduar. Flame Leviathan's body required engineering 270 last night!
Nov 8th 2010 1:06PM Saurfang doesn't let you use a battle rez due to the Mark of the Fallen Champion debuff persisting through death, but on Heroic Putricide the Unbound Plague is removed by a player's death. This can easily be exploited using battle rez. Instead of all the trouble and dps loss of passing the plague around you just let the person who got the Unbound Plague die and then rez them. If the initial person who got the plague can not easily recover their mana (ie healer) then just get them to pass it to a person who can recover their energy resource easily and let that person die. The encounter can be made easier with this method as long as a team had enough battle rezes available!
I don't blame blizzard for wanting to know the maximum amount of rezes available per encounter. Sure, most guild wouldn't force bringing classes to get more brez chances but I'm sure some of the top guilds would so that they could get that server first!

"thats why there is only a 5 more levels to cap this time"
Yes, but there is more XP required for each level so it is going to be about the same amount of XP to go from 80-85 as it was to go from 70-80.
"talent trees have been dumb'd down to a laugh"
Were they ever hard to figure out? Also please note that by taking out the hybrid or cross spec builds Blizzard has hopefully eliminated the OP unintentional exploits that some players used to rule PvP... remember ret pallies?
"less gear stats"
Again, an attempt by Blizzard to allow for less player exploitation by stat stacking to unreasonable numbers. Most of these stats aren't gone from the game, they are still available through spec choices but will no longer be able to be manipluted by the players as they were in the past. This should lead to an end result of encounters playing out as intended throughout the whole tier.
"less class mechanics"
As in? I thought we were all getting new abilities.
"all to appeal to new and casual players and to keep them paying $14 a month and not canceling because they dont have fun...."
and why does this matter to you? Raid with your elitist group and you don't need to ever talk to these noobs. I personally welcome new players into the game as they could become the next awesome player that you recruit and they give the developers a reason to keep giving us new content.
Apr 30th 2010 3:09PM All you people saying that the game and healing are too easy should find a way to get your butts into heroic ICC and we'll see what you say then!
