Jan 12th 2012 6:14PM My warlock is sporting an all-white look featuring the mooncloth robe and aurora mantle (shoulders). I can't seem to find a white belt, so I'm currently using Sage's (blue), as well as
Sage's gloves and bracres (white with some blue).
There are white helms and partly-white capes, but I have those turned off.
Dec 28th 2011 3:11PM Of course, if your dps is good, you can bring him down even before the first wave.
Dec 28th 2011 3:10PM It seems to me that on Benedictus any ranged/healer/tank can avoid the first wave by moving to the far right (that is facing the same way as Thrall starts the fight), and avoid the second wave by moving to the far left. Do I have that right?
Dec 15th 2011 6:53PM You should do Deepholme as soon as you hit 82. It gives you useful Earthen Ring rep, and it is the only way to get the Therazene rep and shoulder enchants needed by everyone but inscriptionists. You need to do at least enough to get friendly Therazene rep so you can then go get a tabard - doing that requires you to do almost all of the quests in the zone.
At least, it was all that way before the last patch, and I don't think any of this has changed.
Dec 7th 2011 8:15PM The reality is that it is highly unlikely that the first boss you will see will be Morchok. You may NEVER see him through raid finder. I've done like 10 raid finder raids and always started on Yorshaj or Hagara. The good news is that you get your valors faster. The bad news is you'll only get loot from one or two bosses, and will have to try to find some other way to unlock the achievement to be able to go on to the second part.
Dec 7th 2011 8:12PM It's definately 372. I've run 5 toons through the new heroics trying to get to that point.
Dec 5th 2011 6:14PM Here comes a rant.
There will never again be a significant number of any crafted gear produced. The beginning of Cata was great - you could use crafted gear to get top-quality gear, and in at least one slot where you couldn't get equivalent gear except through raid drops.
Problem is, after that, they required raid orbs to make anything good. If someone has that many raid orbs, they probably don't need the crafted gear. Also, you can use points to get the gear anyway. As a final insult, they mad the patterns effectively inaccessible. The only exception was the 365 weapons - but only blacksmiths and to a lesser extent engineers got to do that. For everyone else, chaos orbs were completley useless (hence the current glut).
And with patch 4.3, all crafters were completely thrown under the bus. Almost nothing will be produced from this point, and professions are now useless except for their combat bonuses. For whatever reason, they have decided to completely take crafting and a big part of the economy out of the game - and made it a lot less interesting as a result.
Nov 30th 2011 10:38AM You can be within a few points of the minimum just with jp gear, and close the last few with gear from the new 5 mans. After doing each of the 5 mans once my Mage got his helm and shoulders and is now over the limit ( even though all the quest rewards were useless to him)
Nov 29th 2011 8:05AM Prospecting pyrite ore to epic gems! I still believe! (despite all facts to the contrary)
Nov 17th 2011 7:02PM Remember that when the patch drops, 378 gear will now be buyable with justice points. Replacing a 359 item with a 378 should bring someone up about a full point. Have your guildies make sure they have their JP capped at 4000 when the patch drops, and they'll be able to do a lot of it themselves (also if they have honor they can save it until after the patch and convert it to JP at a penalty). Also make sure they have at least 359 gear in slots that they can get JP gear now but can't get 378 gear after the patch (like boots, which you can trade to them if needed, and at least one ring and trinket slot). Hopefully they filled some slots with 365 gear from the holiday bosses and/or the molten front - though I doubt it's worth it to anyone to grind out the molten front at this point.
Also, after the patch chaos orbs will be tradeable, so it should be easier to get them weapons and any crafted armor pieces like shields and belts that might help.
If somebody still needs a little help, and you have JP to spare on your more geared toons, you can buy them bracers with others' JP.
