Blood Pact: Warlock's guide to gearing for Naxx {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2009 10:13PM PS: I suppose you might want to maximize your Soulshatter potential, but will you even be remotely close to threat-capped walking into Naxx?

PPS Full disclosure: I'm running Naxx25, have 370 hit, always run with a boomkin or an spriest, and just specced out of Supression to put the points towards more DPS.

Blood Pact: Warlock's guide to gearing for Naxx {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2009 10:10PM 446? Why on earth would you ever advise a warlock to get 446 hit rating?

We have 2 ways of increasing this by 3%: The 3-point Suppression or Cataclysm talents, and a Shadowpriest's Misery/Moonkin Improved Faery Fire.

One of the above would lower our hitcap to 368 (+14%). Both would lower it to 289(+11%).

Sure, you might not always have a spriest or boomkin around if you're doing 10-mans or unlucky. Surely for those people 3 talent points is worth 78 points in hit rating that can be better spent elsewhere.

A world without Varimathras {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2009 6:18PM Ok, yeah, scratch that. I should l2read.

Yep, guess you better finish your varimathras-based loremaster quests before he phases away forever, no?

A world without Varimathras {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2009 6:17PM Umm... AFAIK, Varimathras is still in the game.

For us hordies Varimathras isn't actually gone *until* you complete the Wrathgate storyline. If you're a hordie, you kill him during the quest. After that, he's simply phased away. If he's not appearing to any Alliance now, that's probably just because Blizz realized it would be very strange to have any pre-wrathgate alliances having to deal with someone who was invisible to the rest of them.
