The Martin Fury scandal: Karatechop reveals all {WoW}

May 1st 2009 5:13PM @makkura and all the other dumbasses claiming that it's believable, even for a second that this item was intentionally gifted as a 'thank you':

Get a clue. Anyone who has leveled a character to 80 has played long enough to know that's entirely bullshit. Blizzard apolagizes infrequently, and when they do, it's never with an item that allows you to (literally) one-shot their newest content at your leisure.

Only a moron would actually believe Blizzard wanted them to 1-shot hard-mode content that they've stated was intended to give guilds a challenge until the next content patch and beyond.

The willful ignorance of some posters in these comments is just embarrassing.

That said, Blizzard screwed up first. They share blame in this. If a GM sent me this item, I cannot guarantee I wouldn't use it.

Golden's Arthas delivers the lore goodness {WoW}

Apr 7th 2009 1:16AM @Karasuu

You're pretty grabby. Undercity sure doesn't belong to the Alliance. If you played WC3, remember that the City of Lordaeron was taken over by Arthas and razed. It's gone, no more city.

When Arthas got called away, Sylvanas lead a coup that took the crypts from the Dreadlords left in charge, and expanded them. Basically there's a whole new series of catacombs under where City of Lordaeron WAS, and it was taken from the scourge by the people who used to live above it.

As far as Alterac Valley, the Frostwolves have been living there at the ass end of nowhere since Gul'dan's days for refusing to drink Mannoroth's blood. That whole area was pretty much abandoned by the Alliance during the second war after they razed the city of Alterac. Look at it, it's all syndicate and ogres. Now out of nowhere Ironforge decides decides to take it for themselves, and it has NEVER been theirs.

I'll give you Ashenvale, but hey, building a city takes a lot of lumber.

Blood Pact: Look at me! I'm Illidan! {WoW}

Mar 24th 2009 9:40AM I've had better luck as Meta/Ruin by using CoD and keeping Corr + Immo up on the target.

Also, on many fights I'll Demon Charge -> Immolation too for a nice DPS boost on the boss, then teleport back to ranged after meta ends.

When the boss gets low (will die in less than 60 seconds) I swap CoD for CoA, and under 25% I swap SBolt for Drain Soul. Even without the Affliction talents it ticks for a ton.

Blood Pact: Warlock's guide to gearing for Naxx {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 12:47AM My apolagies if this ends up being a double-post. My browser is giving me trouble.

I know you just wanted to do a quick rundown, but for the readers, a few other options you have available:

MH: Twisted Reflection, Cursed Lich Blade, Flameheart Spell Scalpel
Staff: Staff of Sinister Claws
Wand: Ancient Measuring Rod, Rod of the Fallen Monarch

Head: Titan-forged Hood of Dominance (40 marks can take awhile)
Neck: Titanium Spellshock Necklace, Encircling Burnished Gold Chains, Hateful Gladiator's Pendant of Ascendancy
Back: Shroud of Dedicated Research, Hateful Gladiator's Cloak of Ascendancy
Hands: Overlook Handguards, Gloves of Glistening Runes
Waist: Girdle of Bane
Legs: Woven Bracae Leggings (H HoL can be painful, you were warned)
Feet: Titan-forged Boots of Dominance

Of course WoWHead or another site can tell you where you can get each of those. I omitted the Naxx zone drops, and I'm sure I forgot a few other items as well.
