Mar 20th 2010 7:22PM Is it really necessary for Frostfire to be viable? If I recall correctly, isn't Frostfire the exact same rotation as Fire/TTW except using FFB instead of Fireball?
I think adding FFB to the frost rotation through brainfreeze is a much better idea.
Mar 16th 2010 2:51AM I actually wrote my undergraduate economics research thesis last year on the WoW economy, showing how economic principles such as opportunity cost and comparative advantage hold in the game's virtual economy. I did this by running a regression on the price of wool cloth on multiple realms using faction, server age, and % of the server made up of level 80s as my predictor variables.
The whole paper can be found here
Funny thing is, when I wrote the paper I solicited the official WoW forums for help and all I got were snide comments about how writing a paper on the WoW economy was "lame" and "ridiculous" and predictions of failure. In contrast, my professor loved the paper and gave me 100%. After my presentation of the paper to the class, I looked at my evaluation. Under the "other" section of my professors eval, he wrote
"Alliance: Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Dranei Horde: Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, Undead, Blood Elves"
He was taking good notes :P.
Oct 6th 2009 3:30PM I wrote my undergraduate research methods paper on the determination of prices in World of Warcraft.
I basically ran a regression on the price of wool cloth on multiple realms, finding that that basic principles like supply and demand and comparative advantage accurately explain the price.
The whole paper can be read here =)
Jun 11th 2009 10:53PM I didn't know FL was considered hard...Yogg-Saron phase 1 is definitely kind of tough.
Apr 13th 2009 1:36PM As a proud vegetarian member of the Horde, I don't know where I stand on this. I guess I have to stand by my warchief. Lok'tar!
Apr 7th 2009 7:31PM I don't know if I like that idea, although I think it would be preferable to eliminating DW viability all together. One of the things I really like about my DK is that it gives you so many options as far as mixing and matching talents goes. I love my 32/39 build. I think having a tanking tree, a 2H dps tree, a DW tree etc would make the class much more boring, as the versatility of play styles is what makes the class so much fun.
Feb 24th 2009 1:30AM I'm lvl 78 right now with the standard, cookie cutter unholy 2H DPS spec.
I'm intrigued by 2H frost but wondering how gear dependent it is. Would you recommend staying unholy until I'm in naxx gear or switch right at 80?
