Mar 2nd 2011 10:34AM OK warrior 101. Warriors are melee tanks. They generate alot of their threat through melee moves. Translation, warriors need to be hitting their targets to be generating threat.
That said, let's look at the difference between an interrupt and a silence. An interrupt, interrupts the target's current cast. A silence will interrupt or prevent casts for, in gag orders case, 3 sec. An interrupt can be vital when a target is casting a powerful heal. Also, if an NPC has one cast, can pull the target to the tank. A silence will stop the target from casting and force it to come melee the tank.
Encounters in cata are different from LK. I've noticed, in 5 mans, trash pulls are highly mobile. There's a new puddle of doom under your feet every other second. A good tank will move but without a silence, casters won't always follow. And LoS isn't always an option.
Paladins have Avenger's Shield. It's a 15 sec CD ranged move which deals damage, silences, AND affects up to 3 targets. With 2 points in Grand Crusader you can also have a 20% to instantly refresh the CD. A silence without a CD? Pretty powerful.... Shield bash is a 12 sec CD that effects 1 target, does not do damage but without talents can lock a target out of a school of magic. With 2 talents in Gag Order, has a 100% chance to silence the caster. After the patch this move will be removed completely, leaving heroic throw the only silence after 2 talent points (with a 30 sec CD with talents).
Yes, we will be fine without shield bash, but it's not because our class was over powered to begin with. It's because the warrior class attracts the most talented players in the game. The warrior class is plagued with PvP balancing that nerfs the crap out of PvE. We will adapt and over come but, I can't help thinking to myself "I'd rather be tanking on my paladin."
If they have to get rid of shield bash, I can see why even though I don't agree with it. I hope they atleast buff gag order to include pummel as a silence instead. If that's not enough, give the internal silence CD a 15 sec CD to be on par with avenger's shield.
Oct 14th 2010 11:06AM How on Earth did that Garrosh model go live. How did he go from looking like an Orc from Nagrand to a half-ogre with a metal jaw?
Oct 5th 2010 11:38AM I wouldn't mind the new loot system if it had some sort of diminishing returns on crap luck. Usually how I used to do the holiday bosses is to run with 4 friends. When something like a mount would drop, we would all roll and who ever won would continue to go with the same group until the event was over or we all had what we wanted. At the very least, a friend had what we wanted, not some blow hole bragging about getting it on his 9th toon.
I would LOVE to see Blizzard find someone to put a cap on bad luck.
Seriously.. Every keg I opened, badges. Third year in a row I might add.
Everything else seems to have diminishing returns now, why not bad luck?
Sep 30th 2010 10:41AM Tabasa,
Let me set something straight. I AM a druid. so, I don't need to imagine anything. I rolled one because I liked the idea of being a cat. Not some armored cat hybrid thing with humanoid armor. When was the last time you came across a tiger wearing armor? They don't need it. Now, your second point stinks as well. You aren't STUCK as a bear if you are tank spec. You are just in bear when in combat. You don't have to strut around Dalaran in bear form. You are choosing to do so and in doing so, choosing to not to see your armor. If you really are looking at how cool your armor is in combat, then you should probably get your priorities straight.
And I say again, Druids= forms.
Sep 29th 2010 8:26PM Lemme get this straight....
You have Bear form redone, Cat form redone, you have travel form, flight form, boomkin, swim form, tree form (kinda), and a swift flight form. Some forms have night elf version, and some tauren forms. There's even going to be new forms in Cata for new races.
But you really are crying about not having armored forms? Really?
Druids = forms. If you don't like forms, I suggest playing one of the 9 other classes. Seriously. This is rediculous. Would be like a warrior saying " GAH I just hate how plate looks on my toon! I wish I could have a cloth looking version of my gear" ~_~

I'm no lore expert but I do love warrior mentality.
The orcs have long been discribed as true warriors with a thirst for battle with the hearts of warriors. I'd like to compare the orcs to the samurai who, like the orcs, did both greatly good and greatly evil things.
As far as city names goes: The warrior often fights with fear before even going into battle. Many of our current military drill (parades, dress uniforms etc) stem from old traditions to incite fear into the opposition. The samurai often dressed themselves in battle armor featuring terrifying monsters. Many samurai wore masks giving them the appearance of a demon. Did they think themselves demons? No, they were striking a blow to the enemy. Why would Thrall name his city after a much feared orc? Well isn't obvious? To scare the weak hearted humans away.
I'd also like to address battlefield honor as well. Something westerners have a hard time relating with is the more eastern based battle field honor. One form of this is respecting your enemy. You do not respect your enemy because you agree with him/ her but because you aknowledge him or her as a worthy opponent. I believe much of Thrall stems from a more Eastern mindset. Thrall respects Ogrim and other members of the old Horde not because he wants to hold their hands and walk through the fields of destruction with them. He is just aknowledging great warriors of the orc raceand honoring them as such.
To say he is idolized the old Horde is just speculation and unfair speculation at that.
Jul 27th 2010 10:53AM Please! It looks so cool.
Jul 24th 2010 12:22AM wow... god forbid there be a video that doesn't glorify the alliance every second. Chill out. I'm sure there's a alliance player out there BEGGING to be showered with attention. They will make an alliance loving video soon enough.
EXCELLENT video. I'm excited to see it soon.
Apr 10th 2010 2:35PM If it's a passive ability, won't that be worse than a click to use haste ability. Right now Bloodlust is used to get over certain humps in boss fights like the last 5% of health, leeching swarm etc. If it's passive, who's to say it won't happen during supmerge or some other worthless time. Now you get the exhausted debuff and can't benefit from BL or Time Warp. O.o
I agree with giving another class a BL but I don't think it should be mages. Give it to a class that doesn't bring quite so much to the raid already. Bloodlust makes it so every raid NEEDS a shaman. Spread the wealth and give it to someone else.
