Mar 1st 2011 11:51AM Unrelated to my above question but has anyone else gotten a phishing email recently? The email was sent to the email I use for wowinsider, soooo, watch out for that.
Mar 1st 2011 11:46AM Will we ever fix the Cataclysm?
I know the game probably won't reflect our actions and it will be some time before Azeroth gets another facelift but are we technically undoing the Cataclsym?
Jan 4th 2011 12:45PM Wouldn't it be cool if you can be Undead but be a different race? Like an Undead Gnome, Undead Draeni, Undead Orc. Seems like it makes more lore sense now that the Forsaken are raising everyone they can instead of just being the humans/elves Arthas' Scourge killed.
Not really a question, would just be very cool.
Mar 3rd 2010 11:55AM I don't mean to sell ulduar short. It was awesome and had great lore in its own right. I would have just liked Yog's death to mean something to the Lich King.
Mar 3rd 2010 11:40AM I would have liked Ulduar to have been better tied to the Lich King. I mean, all right, Arthas is going to kill all life but come on, Algalon was about to get the makers to erase all of Azeroth out of existence!
And seriously, we kill the God of Death, that must have had some effect on the Death God (Lich King).
It seemed to me that that was going to be the overarching theme of Wrath. We follow Arthas' path, we go from zone to zone losing more and more of ourselves, we mistakenly kill someone's daughter, we kidnap baby puppies, we exterminate a bunch of crazy trolls, and we eventually even kill our own men just so that they don't become scourge. Which would have all been part of the Lich King's grand plan.
But what did he need us for? Ner'zhul needed two things: a fresh body and freedom from his jailer, Mal'ganis. So how does this tie to Arthas's plan to corrupt us and Ulduar? Yogg Saron was Arthas' jailer! Well, maybe not so much his jailer as much as someone who was keeping the Lich King from ascending to his full power. For as badass as the Lich King was, he was not the God of Death like Yoggy was. For as much of Northerend as Arthas conquered, his blood wasn't coursing through the very earth like Yoggy's. For as far as Arthas' influence reached, he wasn't whispering as loudly as Yoggy was. For as much as Arthas was corrupting mortals, Yoggy was corrupting the effing prime designate of the makers, almost Titans even!
For as powerful as Arthas was, it was dwarfed by that of Yoggy's. Maybe not so much raw power, since Yoggy was killed by a bunch of mortals, but definitely something Arthas needed to get rid of.
So we kill Yog and then what? A whole lot of nothing. Yeah, we stopped Azeroth from being destroyed but that's only because we killed Algalon right after.
It woulda been badass if we killed Yoggy at the end of 3.1 and at the end of 3.2, instead of just "hey, my buddies built a tunnel down here hope no one has water walking on lulz" we get a "Oh, I meant to thank you for killing Yog for me," followed by some badass display of badassery.
It would have given Ulduar it's own lore and it would have tied it to the lore of the Lich King. Instead it was just a "hey, this raid is super hard and awesome."
Feb 19th 2010 4:37PM A buddy of mine told me that casting instant cast spells on the run slows you down. Am I being had or did I just never notice this?
Dec 28th 2009 1:57PM The two troll instances in Wrath show the trolls fighting/losing against the Scourge, is there a lore reason as to why we're not allying with them instead of going into their territory and slaughtering them all?

Oct 27th 2009 12:26PM I will raid Ogrimmar every day and spawn camp Garrosh if he does anything to Cairne.
