[Updated] Guild Wars 2 Charr plushies on sale now, but you can win one free from Massively! {Massively}

Sep 8th 2011 9:41PM The female warrior paused momentarily, wiped the blood from her well-used axe, and studied the foe before her. She had killed many powerful foes in her lifetime - the Undead Lich, Shiro Tagachi, the Great Destroyer, not to mention travelling to the Realm of Torment to defeat a god.

Yet for some reason, this particular foe gave her pause.

She had traversed the entirety of Tyria, vanquishing every foe that stood in her way in search of this foe, in search of the most coveted of treasures, and finally... she had found him. Finally, before her stood the evil charr toymaker, Fuegon Embertrinket.

"Human, I know why you are here." Growled Embertrinket, flashing his menacing teeth at the warrior as he stepped away from his workbench. Unsheathing his sword, he looked up to the sky and let out a bloodcurdling howl as he conjured a golden manifestation of a tiger before him. The tiger leaped forward, growled with Embertrinket, and vanished in a flash of golden sparkles.

The warrior tightened her grip on her axe and shield, and moved forward to engage her foe. Angered by the charr's taunting, she en-ragingly charged forth to deliver her first blow, causing a boost of adrenaline to flow through her as she connected. Embertrinket stumbled backward, surprised by the force of the charge. Regaining his composure, he summoned a swirling vortex of fire around him, gaining the haste of the flame djinn. Putting some distance between himself and the warrior, he began to cast a spell learned from the most elite of elementalists.

The warrior pressed forward, closing the distance between her and her foe, as the spell slammed into her. She felt pain so intense, it was as if her mind was burning. She realized such a powerful spell must have surely exhausted Embertrinket, and pressed on ever-more. Reaching her foe again, she landed several more blows, feeling her adrenaline increase to it's max capacity. Embertrinket felt the ferocity of the warrior's attacks, and began the long process of casting a large meteor, surely to knock the warrior off her feet.

She was ready, she knew just where to chop Embertrinket to disrupt him. Seeing the powerful meteor cease to cast, she knew it was time to strike. He had been weakened from her relentless attacks. It was time to show him her own brand of elementalist magic. She reached forward and grabbed Embertrinket, shocking him to his very core. Surprised, Embertrinket fell backward, vulnerable to the warrior. Indeed, she knew it was now time for her to "pounce" this charr. Draining herself of all adrenaline, she began to flail away on the defenseless charr, unleashing the most powerful skills she knew. Eviscerating the charr brutally, it was then time to deliver the final executioner's strike. And it was done.

Victory. The warrior raised her arm in triumph, and felt a golden form of a wolf's head materialize. The wolf's howl resonated throughout Embertrinket's den. The charr, it seems, was not the only one who knew how to Gloat.

The warrior tossed aside her weapons and moved toward the large golden chest in the back of the den. As she opened it, a bright golden aura emitted from inside. Peering in, she found it was empty save for one small item.

*The* item.

The warrior picked up the treasure. It was a small soft figurine, resembling a charr. It amazed her how a charr so evil, one who had killed so many innocent humans, was able to create something so adorable. Unable to contain her excitement, she let out a squeal of joy and hugged the cute toy. She thought of her future generations, able to view the legendary toy in her Hall of Monuments for all time, a heirloom to be passed down generation to generation, well into 250 years from now.

Patch 4.1 PTR: The return of Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman {WoW}

Feb 24th 2011 4:51AM "Wrath of the mind has been learned in the 56."

I've been waiting so long for that!

Feb 23rd 2011 8:39PM I second this.

WoW Moviewatch: Among The Blood Elves Days 5-6 {WoW}

Jan 4th 2011 5:25PM Ugh that Carson Daly New Years show. I only watched it for a little bit, as it was after our own celebrations (I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada, an hour later than EST). What irked me even worse than the atrocious "entertainment" was that EVERYTHING was an advertisement. All those hats and things were Nivea branded, and they had people replay the ball dropping with their AT&T smartphones about two minutes after it actually happened. Pathetic.

Jan 4th 2011 2:45PM The only thing I don't like about Bieber jokes is that the people behind them will often turn around and go listen to other sheep music like Lady Gaga or Eminem or other such "artists," as if that's any better.

Remember when people had to be able to sing, and computers didn't do all the work? And bands put out songs that became classics, instead of this quick 3 minute radio shit that's easily forgotten in a few weeks?

Maybe I'm just a jaded musician though.
I will agree with a comment above though, at least it wasn't some "belf rapz vid."

Addon Spotlight: ElvUI {WoW}

Nov 18th 2010 1:00PM Gearscore broke guild and trade chat when the latest patch game out, which is the most likely culprit. If you run GS, either disable it or update it to the latest version.

WoW Moviewatch: Gnomey Love {WoW}

Nov 17th 2010 4:46PM Hardly noticed any grammer mistakes, huh? I wonder why your not able to pick up on them, their are more then usual. In fact, I would say this one has alot.. quite much more then average.

(Ugh, typing that up hurt me more than it'll hurt you reading it..)

Cataclysm beta: New raid markers {WoW}

Nov 7th 2010 11:41PM Huh. And all this time I thought our raid leader was, in fact, just using eng flares.

So hi. My name is Shawn, and today I learned something that made me feel like a newb all over again.
