Nov 14th 2009 1:44PM laaaaaaaaaaaaag fest, as seen in Aion.
Oct 23rd 2009 12:11PM applied to 2 raid members on 10man and 4 on 25man, during leeching swarm these people are usually kept at 50-60% health to avoid and easy death. with the tanks being capped and the general raid we keep at 10-20%.
Oct 23rd 2009 12:07PM My guild uses the same strat as tom, also when killing the first set of burrowers we have allranged switch to the next one when the first gets to 10%, the combined lasts casts and dots will be more then enough to finish it off. So any extra time spent on it is wasted time that could be spent on anub.
If unlike my guild your raid is a little low on dps you can also assign one or two ranged to full time burrower dps.
Oct 21st 2009 11:31AM Well, I for one will deffinatley be aquiring this puppy, for my 2hander enhancment set (for the lols). Then I can choose from either this or my ragnoros for all our soon to be server first kills.
No doubt I will get many hate whispers in Dal while sporting this around town :P
Sep 26th 2009 3:45AM My first toon back at launch was a Tauren Warrior, I had no Idea about trainers so I was using rank1 Heroic Strike all the way into Stone talon peaks. I also was stacking stam/spirit gear so I could get my health back in between pulls. halarious when I look back on it now.
Altough I was a "noob" back then, now I play a Restoration Shaman in a top100 world ranked raiding guild, and season 6/7 Gladiator. So don't knock the nublets. If they find the love for the game like I have they will be the pro's of tomorrow.
Sep 5th 2009 9:51AM The difficulty of this raid in 10/25man HEROIC is not complicated game mechanics, atleast not until Val'kyr/ Anub. The concepts are reasonably simple up until that point. The real difficult comes from the great job Blizzard did to balance all requirements of this fight. Everyone in your raid needs to be geared to the teeth and be exceptional player to get any where on these "HARD MODES".
On the very first fight (Gormok) you need to have at the very minimum 100k raid wide dps to make it to P2 without any kobolds up. And the healing requirements are so high that even the best guilds in the world are using 7-8 healers, and 3 tanks to juggle impales. This means that your Raiders need to be putting out an AVERAGE of 6667 dps. And in reality a tick more is required do to dps loss from switching to target Kobolds/movement. On top of that your tanks, even in BiS gear like ours are, will be very close being one-shot by Gormock when they has a massive impale tick after one of his already heavy melee swings. And then after healing all of this crap your healers still have to retain enough mana to get through P2/3.
This is quite and achievement even though it is for 10man content coming from The 25man guild. Blizzard has done a great job with the math on these fights, and I look forward to more encounters like these in the future.
Aug 4th 2009 2:07PM This happens every content patch, I suggest watching that movie (watching PUSH right now, ZOMG) you never quite have time for. It will help pass the time until we can all get in the 1000+ ques to have constant disconnects and server lag and server restarts every 12 hours for the next week.
See ya there !! :D
Jun 8th 2009 2:18AM I met one today actually, my acount was hacked earlier and after making a "sad" version of my toon on a buddies account. had the unique chance to sit down in Dalaran and discuss my account. A few guildies even showed up to catch a glipmss of him. However the GM had somehow "phased" to where only I could see him. I only wish i got a screenie of his exit. He floated up into the middle of the room and vanished in a flash of light, making a huge "swoooosh" sound and leaving gold sparkles in the air.
all in all a fun little experience that took the edge off getting hacked >.<
Jun 4th 2009 11:16AM The trick to getting into "endgame" content is simply KNOWING YOUR CLASS. Blizzard has molded the game in such a way that every Class and all but a few Specs have a place in the raid. The trick is to learn your Class and keep current, as things change with every patch. You will quickly find yourself out playing better gear players and landing yourself a permanent raid spot.
Mar 10th 2009 1:10AM I really hope we JC'ers get some new trinkets, some nice 226 pieces that will be worth using, I havn't used my owl figurine in months. And please blizz give us better prismatics, with epic gems coming out it will nerf our profeesion's perk.
