Dec 25th 2009 8:21AM 7:00am presents went out on Ghostlands US.
7:05am some ahole parked his giant Mamoth on top of the presents.
Unfortunately, I'm not making this up.
Dec 19th 2009 10:33AM Had a Nex run where three people in a row missed the jump and fell to their deaths. Me and the Tank sat on the lower platform laughing our asses off.
Dec 14th 2009 7:04PM Four Occ and three OK for me in one day. What's worse is that three of the Occs were fails. From now on I'll take the 15 minute timer instead of running Occ again.
Dec 14th 2009 7:00PM Anyone notice the very weird class distributions? I heavily ran a Mage alt and for roughly 2/3rds of the random groups I was the only caster dps. I'm enjoying Needing caster dps gear, but I'm finding it very strange.
Dec 14th 2009 6:55PM Yes, you can make lots of gold if the queue is moving fast enough. This weekend we were seeing 20-40 minutes between random pugs on Ghostlands US for DPS. Nothing worse than waiting 30 minutes then have the group immediately fail, incurring another 15 minutes for the timer. Had that happen a couple of times this weekend.
Secondly, the number of people running randoms will drop significantly in the next week or two. Triumph badges are so easy to get, that I bought 5x T9s in three days on a Mage alt. There's no longer any reason for me to run randoms outside of the daily Frost emblems. I'll be running FoS, PoS, and HoR for a few key upgrades, but probably not for too much longer. I suspect many other people will be doing the same in the very near future.
Make any gold you can with this guide, because this won't last too much longer.
Dec 13th 2009 5:51PM "If you devote yourself to a character (this is an RPG after all) and play a class because you like the mechanics of that class..."
Mechanics in WoW are very simple to begin with, then BTPNTC made them generic. Out of boredom I frequently change classes to the point where I'm running eight alts. So I can't understand how anyone can play a single class exclusively.
The OP does have a point. The random nerf stick has irritated a lot of people for a long time now. I think Bliz got the point as the PvP re-balancing has been greatly reduced lately. Or they're tied up with Cataclysm development. Whichever it is, I like the result.
"...this is an RPG after all..."
Wow is one of the least immersive RPGs I've ever played. It can be more accurately called MMOrpg as the RPG aspects are very minor. There are lore geeks around, but WoW really is a MMO-Loot game.
"...you will find the game is not out to make your life miserable."
But other players may be. I've run across some of the largest a-holes since the new lfg was released. It's truely amazing how badly people act when there are no repercusions for their behaviour. Fortunately I've met enough decent people to keep me running randoms.
Dec 13th 2009 8:48AM Sweet. I love a bit of nerd rage with my coffee.
Nov 25th 2009 3:57PM I'm in again...
