The Daily Quest: Raiding and healing {WoW}

Apr 21st 2011 12:14AM Same here!

Thanks for compiling this every day, there's usually at least one interesting link I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Shifting Perspectives: Tanks, bribes, and player behavior {WoW}

Apr 12th 2011 4:43PM "I have never wiped with Allison tanking"

Also, never a dull article with Allison writing it! Great read, looking forward to what you have to say next week.

Unfortunately, it seems we're heading back towards wrath style heroics as people gear up (and the nerfs keep piling up). I'm seeing less and less cc being used in my pugs; people just zerg it again if the dps/healing is adequate. It will only get worse as the expansion progresses.

I had totally forgotten about rage starvation on geared tanks in BC. I remember one of my realm's best geared tanks with BT gear having threat issues in simple heroics. Easy to forget how things were back in the day (and how much easier we have it now, in many ways).

Shifting Perspectives: Murmurs' moonkin mailbag {WoW}

Apr 8th 2011 7:57PM Here's another solution to moonfire/sunfire macros that I found on the MMO-C forums. Credit goes to Taryble.

''Basically, you have to put the Moonfire button on some action bar (you can hide the bar if you want). Then, type /fstack and mouseover the button where you just put Moonfire. Write down the frame name (BT4Bar5Button6 or whatever - that's just an example).

Then use this macro:

#showtooltip Moonfire
/click BT4Bar5Button6''

Apr 6th 2011 12:09PM How do you summon the bosses in the Edge of Madness in the new ZG? It's archaeology related, that much I know. But how much arch skill do you need? And I also read somewhere that you need a troll keystone to summon the boss, is that true?

Blizzard's April fools introduce you to Crabby the dungeon helper and more {WoW}

Apr 1st 2011 11:50AM Crabby is possibly the best april fools day joke yet from Blizzard.

''I'm Commander Crabby, and this is my favorite forum on the website!''

''I was just minding my business in the high grass the other day when some hooligan kid tried to shove me into a plastic ball, mumbling something about needing to "Catch 'em all''

''I noticed you're not logged in. Did you forget your password?'' ''Have you tried 'password'? I have a good feeling about that one''

''Happy Friday! I woke up this morning with this song stuck in my head''

''This thread has been seen by 56 people, or approximately 112 eyeballs, give or take a cyclops.''

Feb 21st 2011 11:27AM /ignore playername-servername(region)

If they have a name with funny characters you can use a chat mod like prat to copypaste their name. If you don't have a mod like that, send them a whisper. That gives you a clickable name in your chatbox.

That said though, I question the point of ignoring someone in a pug nowadays. When basically everyone in your entire *region* (EU/US) can join your pug, the chance of seeing someone more than once is extremely small.

Breakfast Topic: Moments of pleasant surprise {WoW}

Dec 12th 2010 2:07PM A while back, in wotlk, I was levelling a paladin tank with a resto druid friend. We got BRD at around 47-48, iirc, and our group proceeded to clear the entire thing. Took us around 2 hours, and by the end it was rather slow going as the mobs were 5-6 levels above us, but we did it. And during the run we kept chatting with each other, so unlike the silence that you find in most pugs. We reluctantly disbanded the group after that, because it was 2 in the morning.

The Queue: End of the world {WoW}

Nov 22nd 2010 1:26PM Are pets still buggy in Vashj'ir? Last I heard they caused mobs to evade all the time.

Also, speaking of zones that aren't very great, I haven't heard much about the new Silithus. Is it any less boring?

Nov 6th 2010 3:44PM Some of my friends still aren't in the beta, which makes me wonder how it works. Will there ever be a point where everyone who opted in, gets an invite?
