Jun 4th 2010 2:28PM The character overhaul for all pre-cataclysm races comes at a later date after Cataclysm went live.

Realm Status: Coming back online {WoW}

Dec 8th 2009 4:40PM I get disconnected no matter which server I try. Complete network overload with all that traffic, database updates and what not, it seems.

WoW.com's Guide to Patch 3.3 updated {WoW}

Dec 7th 2009 10:53AM Connectivity issues should be fixed by now, as I don't have them anymore since the latest ptr build.

At which time will maintenance and patch 3.3 respectively be officially announced for the US?

Around Azeroth: The mushroom kingdom {WoW}

Dec 6th 2009 12:56PM The Emerald Dream would be a great opportunity to go ahead with freestyle fantasy stuff, maybe the ED is even the perfect transition to the 4th expansion in a revamped Outland and planets like Argus.

Dec 6th 2009 10:18AM When I saw the outlands, and particularly the Zangarmarsh zone, for the very first time in the TBC beta, I was blown away by all this otherworldly stuff that's been a welcome creative contrast to the old classic Azeroth. Northrend is currently much more detailed, though (thanks to better hardware during the past years), and I do hope that the outlands get the same revision when the 4th expansion is released. That, plus new otherworldly stuff like draenei planet Argus. I'm gettimg a bit bored by classic worlds these days, and Cataclysm with the exception of the elemental planes will be mostly classic, too. The game needs dream and space stuff again! :)

Breakfast Topic: The high cost of playing {WoW}

Dec 6th 2009 9:01AM I have 10 characters on 2 servers, one of every currently possible race/class combo (10 races 10 classes). 4 characters are level 80, and the rest level 70+.

Breakfast Topic: The high cost of playing {WoW}

Dec 6th 2009 8:52AM I've already spent $500 or so for transfer or change services just to try other servers and get my favorite race/class combos on the two servers I'm playing on. If I break down the 500 bucks to 5 years, that's around 10 bucks per month extra, or the cost of a monthly gaming print magazine. Since I don't buy print magazines, I'm perfectly fine with that.
Furthermore, these services actually add extra value to the game since playing on another server or playing a new race/class combo (while maintaining the former max level) is a completely new game experience. I personally would pay even 30 bucks if I don't have to grind through the 80 levels and professions, buy new mounts etc again. Well, and if my $500 are for Bruce Campbell as King Varian Wrynn in the WoW movie, that'd be just great! ;)

PS: I hope that Blizzard soon adds cool custom mounts to their online shop because I want a really hellish motorbike for my death knight!
