Feb 16th 2011 4:18AM I rolled a shaman at BC launch and have played with my hoofed kin ever since.
I have always geared for Mp5 before and stacking it so high that it somtimes was ridiculus. It have also been my strengh compared to my priest that i know my Shaman will NEVER run out of mana. I rememeber the worst pug i ever joined doing Gruuls Lair not only did i keep the MT up for 10min constant healing the MT (solo healer on him) and help healer on two other tanks.... we downed him And i KNEW that it was because of my healing skill.
Since the change from Mp5 ---> SPI I have had alot harder with my stats.

Sure i never wana go back to the wrath era where i could spam Riptide/HW/HW all the time .... But I Whould love to have my shamans mana alittle bit higher but perhaps that solves it self once 4.1 arrives and new sets emerge.

mana cost x 5 when rooted
it allows the druid to still have mobility but the mana cost will prevent ferals from ripping opponents appart. i feel for the PvP:ng ferals in this patch. I know i will quit PvP:ing on my feral and perhaps when the numbers of that spec drops extreamly low in arena:s Blizzard will rethink.

for a class that needs to hit its opponents to deal dammage its not very fun to know there is NO way now you will ever catch a frost mage. before this nerf i was actualy on equal terms with them with my snare removal and my hightend speed. i was one of the few classes capable of taking out a frost mage in a BG.

Jan 17th 2011 10:00AM Yes its the Public test realm there is several reasons why they nerf / buff classes
i belive the biggest problem Blizzard got is they have not 31 specs (10 classes 3 specs + dual feral specs) they also got to keep an eye on the PvP balance as the PvE balance.

basicly a class can be fine for PvE but in a horrible state for PvE how do you handle it?
the real answer is they can't this game can never be equal on all terms UNLESS you have two effects on all spells/skills one for PvE and one for PvP. there is no way you can balance two sets of 30 specs and make them compedative in both PvE and PvP.


A good example is the druid.
from a PvE perspective Feral DPS & Controll is fine
from a PvP perspecive Feral DPS is to high due to the bleeds doesn't need hands on
combined with the movability of the druid.

Now blizzard wants to do the logical thing from there point of view: nerf the movability / controll on the druid (messing with both fear immunity & snare removal).

How do the druids react? ALOT of negative posts about how strange this is. Removing not just one but both of there ways to gain controll.

How do blizzard react on this? well they give Restoration druids snare immunity.

My own tought on the matter above.

solve this in 2 steps

step1 if you shift form when snared (to free you) the mana cost is multiplied to prevent it to be use to often.

step2 if the feral dps is to high from bleeds nerf the 2 main bleeds and buff the direct dammage of thoes skills.

my sugestion whould have keep the druids happy, keep there overall dps in place but made it easer for the other classes to get away from them. after all powershifting shouldn't be missused to always be mobile but making the druids be stopped by everything is not the way to go. remember feral druids needs to be mobile to catch there target. and most druids with the change suggested by blizzard made them thing well blizzard only love Frost mages as they are the hardest class to catch for Paladins etc. This was ofcourse not the intention by blizzard but intead probobly as i said above.



So what am i after.
# so a change hit the ptr Test it
# did it affect your role in pve / pvp? how what was negative/positive
# how can they improve it?
# consider why they did the change
# find a post on the forum for the update give your feedback in atleast decent english no gibberish and yelling how Overpowered or unfair it is.

and on the AP removal post above you should take in to account when Blizzard tried it it didn't effect as mutch as it does now its a known fact that many of thoes classes that was hit by this nerf was classes that scale best on there weapons while spellcasters scale on stats this means in the begining of a expac. casters is often in a better place then melee are in the end of an expac. (this is jut my personal belief)

Should level-capped players be put into content they outgear? {WoW}

Jan 14th 2011 3:56AM There is a corelation between your Gear iLevel and what dungeon your ending up in.
with that said there is a reason why some ppl end up more often in some instances then others. the order goes as i figured it.


[ [ BrC, ToT], [Sc], [Vp, HoO, LcT], [Gb] ]

what does this have to do with me ending up in SC all the time?
well considering BrC / ToT is below your treshhold and atleast one in the group got realy realy bad gear then you often end up in Sc.
it whould also mean by the end of the expansion you will if you que up for a normal run often end up in Gb.

What i realy want is a three modes for all dungeons

easy mode (ToT/BrC/ etc) usable < lv85
normal mode all dungeons created for players lv85
Heroic mode all dungeons on HC level (as today)

what work whould it require of blizzard for all instances below the lv333 cap
* well they have to duplicate the area
* level up the mobs abit
* create new itemized items (i think thats pretty easy)
* add another layer of the HC/Normal/Easy mode dungones
* they could even add the Easy mode to raids to but then only give VP/JP for the kills no purple loot.


but anyway i feel there is very few instances this "expansion" compared to BC or Wrath there is very little options for thoes not HC ready. once your HC ready you got more options.

(not that i can understand HOW you can't be HC ready?) i have now leveled 2 chars to 85 and both of them with very little (2 pieces of AH / Vendor gear) got over the Cap. ofc i play smart getting honored with atleast 3 factions while leveing. and aiming for Quest rewards from Uldum / Twilight Highland and spending < 2000g on AH will get you over the cap (with cheap pvp gear and blues) and you gain over 4000g while leving that bit so the money shouldn't be an issue.

Dec 13th 2010 4:49AM It took us several month to down Monroes in Karazhan ..... im part of a cassual guild.
we tried him atelast 2 times a week.

that means once we got him down the chearing in the vent ... shit i can still rememer it...

I don't feel the mobs are hitting to hard the players are not using there skills correctly.


Noone is using Snares,
Noone is using Lockdown skills /Sap, Polymorth, Fear, etc

If used correclty with focus fire the trash is a joke.
if not used correctly the trash is fantastic on ruining your mana

It takes 2-3 month for ppl to learn not to steam in Take all mobs and dps em down while they are beating on the tank.

unfortunaly BRC and ToT its perfictly viable way of doing it in.
and that means that players hit lv 83 before understanding the use of CC and that means that the 3 lv83+ dungons is plauged with players who thing CC isn't usefull.

Dec 13th 2010 4:39AM Well i just decided never to pug as a healer again.

Typical Pug healer scenario.

Scenario1: Tank runs off and pulls next pack when im drinking wipe and tank complains of me not healing him.

Scenario2 : Noone uses CC so im running REALY dry on trash packs. I can say DANGEROUSLY low.

Scenario3 : NoOne Focus fire on one mob instead 3 DPS is compeeting with Tank on 3 diferent mobs meaning they get loose and player dies that complains i don't heal them.

Scenario 4: (Variant of scenario3) but instead Tank have very little threat on one of the mobs and when i go in to Overdrive and start to heal 3 ppl flowing my mana out the window he finds me very very attractive and tries to make me one with the ground.. standing on top of the tank doesn't help as he isn't peeling it of me ... ---> Wipe

Scenario 5: Spawning waves of adds finds me very attractive noone helps me and Tank dies when i struggle to keep him & me alive at the same time


Most of thoes scenarios leads to a wipe and some of them to me getting kicked ...for not healing the tank well enough .... or that the kiddie tank left the group. angry for not steamrolling the content.


I have not problems healing Guildruns but then we mark use CC know tactics.
We did a Vortex Pinacle last night as an example. We had a guild healer lv82 with us i tanked it in Bearform (Respec since i can't "bear" idiotic tanks) as an example everyting went smooth. when we used CC. we burned em to the ground FAST compared to the worst thing i ever seen in a pug there 10m before we wiped due to NO CC , No focus fire on healer, spread out dps ... and noone lisend.....

Dec 6th 2010 3:19AM I agree, the Loot frenzy, the drama queens, the planning, the longterm strategey of the guild, recruitment.

Before i had my first son i had some spare time for this. Now i don't.

Anyway i realy can't understand why ppl get in to Loot arguments and starting to act like my 3 year old. Screaming and stomping.

In my world N/G works -- Need if you need greed if you like the item but not sure.
Be friends, say Gratz even if you just lost the roll.
Don't expect it but if he offers you the gear say atleast thanks.

It's just a couple of pixles on a screen nothing to get cooking about.

The friends you make in game if you treat them right you might meet them in other games aswell and will make you enjoy the game even further.

Play nice, Have fun, Its a game.
(there is a reason why we had a 18y min. age limit exept for kids to our members). That way we could stay way clear of most of the tantrums, even if some of thoes i saw i realy question the mental age of thoes persons).

Totem Talk: A restoration shaman's Cataclysm checklist {WoW}

Dec 1st 2010 3:35AM Well i got a Restro Shaman lv80 he got 4x T9.10 gear and 1x T10.10 gear
and still got old Nax weapon / Sheild so his gear is between lvl200 - 251
... now he is my gatherer so i normaly level him pretty early is it posible to join a run on Release day and still be able to complete a dungeon run? what do you think?

Raid Rx: Healing a level 80 dungeon vs. a level 85 dungeon {WoW}

Nov 27th 2010 11:29AM Well tell me how whould you even make that instance with 3 DK and a warrior tank ... trust me i have played on my Paladin healer and got that combo for ToC5 HC .. it was hell to heal..... And that got me thinking.

first off yes i can lock one down with hex but a DK lockdown isn't that great Chain of ice is well just a slow snare and with 4 melee well that snare is not looking good.....

anyway im just hoping that the normals isn't as horrific for the new beginers as the HC are... can you enter a normal Throne of Tides for example at lv80 with lv232+ gear and success fully heal the encounter?
