Mar 18th 2012 5:43PM Bind to Account gear will be transferrable across realms and from WoW to Diablo 3 and back.
For 4000 justice points you will be able to instantly level an alt to 80. (min level 10)
15 characters per realm and free realm transfers (with a 1 month cooldown).
Mar 15th 2012 11:01PM I think the max-level questing experience needs some fine-tuning, and I definitely think these are all good ideas for daily quests.
My idea would be to do a round of quests at a given quest hub once a week. You get a breadcrumb from the Hero's Call board and head out to a hub. You might do 5, 10, or 20 quests there, but at the end you get a nice reward which includes a token, grab bag, and/or justice points. And they should award rep according to the tabard you are wearing. Every week there would be a different set of quest hubs available from the Hero's Call board. They could be in Pandaria or in old areas with phasing.
I think something similar could be done for world pvp, but that's a topic for another day.
Mar 15th 2012 7:53PM sounds awesome, I love leveling alts and would like to find a US guild that operates like this.
Mar 15th 2012 3:34PM Oh man, i remember that one too. People grouped up for that because it was so tough and annoying. Also, i think it had a nice reward, like a ring or something, which was rare at level 15.
Mar 15th 2012 3:31PM One time late at night when I was drunk I decided to hope on my warrior and do a few quests in Loch Modan. It was my first character, he was level 12 or 13 at the time, and I was getting killed over and over again by troggs. I was impatient and aggroed too many too quickly, died, rezzed, and did it all over again. I finally gave up and quit when my rez timer reached 5 minutes. I hate troggs.
Mar 12th 2012 7:38PM I think all professions need daily quests. Maybe not gathering, but all the crafting professions should have some sort of daily that rewards either tokens (cooking/JC) or a mystery grab bag (fishing). This would be a great way to give dutiful crafters a better chance at getting those rare recipes, patterns, or glyph books.
Mar 12th 2012 6:39PM Ya, this one was funny. I like the meatwad voice.
Mar 2nd 2012 8:19PM On another note, wtf is up with polearms anyway? They have been itemized just like staves for feral druids and hunters. However, they are never seen in combat by these two classes which makes polearms kind of redundant. Why have two weapon types that function the same way, but are never seen and never actually wielded in combat to hit anything? Hunters might swing their weapon every now and then in pvp, but that's it.
Feb 27th 2012 8:36PM I'm making most of my money (on a low pop realm) via cheap Cata enchants. Since players are overall a bit more casual, there isn't as much pressure to have the absolute best enchants and best gems. That being said, people still want to enchant their gear. I'm making huge profit margins on things like Enchant Gloves - Mastery, Enchant Chest - Mighty Stats, and Enchant Gloves - Haste. The mats are 30-60g and I'm selling them between 100-350g. Not a lot of competition on the AH, but as Fox points out, there aren't a lot of buyers, so I'm still only making 1500g/day or less. High end enchants might be marked up 50% over mat cost, but I'm only selling 1 or 2 a week.
The other thing I've noticed on low pop realms is that the prices of raw materials will fluctuate wildly during the week. On Wednesday there might be just a couple stacks of ore for 100g/stack and then on the weekend you can buy a hundred stacks for less than 45g/stack. Similarly, I see Hypnotic Dust fluctuate between 2g and 9g each.
