Dec 23rd 2010 10:47AM Key Ring for tabbards and I would really like a way to help guildies out who are n ot at the same phase of a quest as I am. This is going to be a big deal as we begin recruiting again as well as those guildies who had to wait for Christmas to get the expansion.

WoW Rookie: These darn kids today need to learn ... {WoW}

Sep 9th 2010 2:07PM My pet peeves as a tank:

Your knock back spells are not part of your rotation. If I have used my cooldowns to group the mobs together nicely for you to kill do not throw them around the room.
Caster mobs will not run to the tank. The stand still and cast away. If i have used a spell that will get them moving to me please do not use your pet to stun them, charge/intercept them or in any other way hinder their progress. I know it looks funny when i have to run around all over the place but it is really annoying.

GO,GO,GO will get you dead, dead, dead. I will only pull as fast as my cooldowns and the healers manna will allow. If I am moving to slow you are more than welcome to leave the group. I will not be mad if you do.

Please let me tank the instance. Give me a chance to actually build threat before nuking the mob. Please let me pull the mobs. If you are consistently pulling aggro and I am burning through every trick i have to no avail I will happily let you tank the mob and let you die. I will even whisper the healer and ask them not to waste manna healing you. Eventually this will become an expensive habit on your part.

Fury warriors do not need to dual wield a single hand tanking weapon (a weapon that has def on it). Please do not roll need so that you now get a matching set of the weapons.

Melee Dps stand behind the mob not on the tank. This will keep me from taking undue spike damage and it will increase your dps.

Yelling and cussing and generally being a bad team member does not make you look cool.

I know I am not the best tank, but I will try hard as hell to keep the mobs off of you as long as you work with me.

Drama Mamas: Tank frustration {WoW}

Aug 27th 2010 1:41PM The only issue I have with that is that there are time that we are killing things fast enough that I will have a needed aggro spell on cool down. In my opinion the 10 sec wait is worth it to keep your toon alive and us not having to wait for an impatient dps to be rezzed.

Drama Mamas: Tank frustration {WoW}

Aug 27th 2010 1:28PM Generally the tank rolls on tanking gear and the dps roll on dps gear. This is a courtesy to the dps as well as the tank. My tanks normally have a dps spec and I could roll on every piece of plate/mail/leather that drops that fits a dps/tank role but I want to be fair to the others in the group and will only roll on the items that fit the role I am in. This in my experience is the accepted way to do it whether you are in Pugs/raids/ Guild groups (again this is my experience). The only time this is not how it is done again in my experience is when you say something from the outset.... Hey this toon has a tanking spec and I am gonna roll on tank gear as well as dps gear... Otherwise if you want to roll on the tanking gear volunteer to be the tank.

For those trying to dual wield:
Unless you have at least 26-30 expertise do not dual wield.
Unless you have points in both dual wield talents do not dual wield.
Unless you are spec into frost do not dual wield (Devs have said this tree is for dual wield)(Sorry blood and unholy... only two handers for you)

I love dual wield tanking and there is certainly a coolness factor to it but you have to invest in the gear and gems to do it. Thanks to the two new talents and the new weapon chant it makes it possible. Dual Wield tanking is allot of fun once you have the right weapons and gear but until you have built up your hit and expertise just use that two hander to get the job done. Your healers and dps will thank you.
