Oct 20th 2009 5:15PM The best thing to listen to is any of Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise albums, blends the corpse runs and frenetic keyboard mashing into a soothing, utterly enjoyable alternative.
Sep 6th 2009 4:07AM I'm worried about warrior pve dps again - ArP works very, very well for us even without gemming for it. There are tonnes of plate gear where ArP is one of the 4 stats itemized - so we have very little room to manouvre in, thus we'll fall into blizzes latest "fix" and our dps will suffer. Which is damn annoyin, since warrior dps has only just started to normalise against other classes.
Gd gd nerf warriors again, woot woot
Sep 5th 2009 9:35AM Very nice article Rossi. My main is a nelf warrior and I feel lucky to have picked a class/race that grabs my attention even after all the hours i've put into him. I've also levelled a shaman for the sole reason of healing end-game content - actually levelling him was a pain in the a** but it's lovely to experience another aspect of the game after nothing but bashing things on the head.
I have a few mid-level toons that i level for fun, and to generally grasp the mechanics of different classes. I got bored with my DK and he's sitting there still at lvl55 - i just can't understand the appeal of them.
I was wondering if blizz should do a little "makeover" of the vanilla races, since belfs and dreanies have visibly more appeal in their movement and fighting characteristics. It would be nice for the old races to get a little TLC in cataclysm, altho i don't kno if this would ruin their original feel.
Aug 29th 2009 10:41AM I disagree; belfs are addicted to magic - a belf who isn't interested in magic would be a social outcast amongst his/her fellow brethren. Thus, a belf warrior makes no sense from a lore perspective. This partially works for rogues since they are meant to be on the fringes of society, but not warriors who are the blood and guts of either faction.
Aug 28th 2009 8:44PM I suppose for many people, the simplification of stats would be preferable.
However, gearing a raiding dps character reminds me of tuning a race engine. Maximising output by tweaking certain aspects, it's one of my favourite things in the game. Any idiot can stick BiS or highest ilevel onto their character - this doesn't necessarily produce the best output. Mixing some inferior or wrongly itemized gear (leather) to itemise your stats perfectly is fun and challenging and will be sorely missed.
I disagree with many things blizz do to change the game, altho they somehow manage to pull it off, and i change my mind. I hope i'm wrong about this too.
Jun 11th 2009 7:30PM Matt, I'm wondering what your opinion is on the viability of warrior dps atm. Because I have only noticed a very minimal dps increase since the latest patch. Perhaps i'm still used to topping meters in 3.1, however i still don't think we're doing as well as we should be.
What i'm confused about is if Blizz want to follow the whole pure vs hybrid dps thing, why did they not fix feral druid's obvious OPness, and why are DKs still topping meters?
May 28th 2009 6:42PM By 5% dps increase i mean the equivalent to 5% off the 10% TG nerf
May 28th 2009 5:18PM I, respectfully, disagree with Mr Rossi's enthusiasm over both the "buffs" to fury and arms. As a raiding fury warrior I haven't really found any problems generating the necessary threat - infact the ability that tops my dmg done recount is usually HS (my rage dump).
Imo, TG should have been nerfed by 5% MAX to bring it inline with other hybrid dps. Altho that as a statement is wrong considering how imbalanced other hybrids are at dps atm (feral druid, DK, ele shaman to a lesser extent).
The "helping hand" to our rage generation will have minimal effect to our dps. (just like someone said the haste increase for arms results in a ~1% dps increase).
We need 5% more dps, and as it stands we still aint gettin it.
May 12th 2009 5:52AM hear hear androes
May 4th 2009 4:22AM "This plate parade" you're going on about is only relevant if you acknowledge blizz's almost stupid plate drop rate policy. Out of all the plate that drops in naxx (for eg) 1/3 is tanking, 1/3 is dpsing and 1/3 is casting/healing gear.
When you realise that only one spec of one class (holy pallas) are entitled to 1/3 of ALL the plate that drops...
Surely people have noticed how quickly a pally can gear up their offspec holy set on a naxx run.
