Mar 26th 2011 12:26AM So instead of sleeping, I browsed random websites for a while and came back here right before sleeping, and I have to say I love the design and concept behind all current trash mobs in game (except the dogs in BWD).
You can half-ass them, but can't go AFK or they trash you/the raid. This is kind of neat, although it means I don't zone in until I'm done calculating DKP/Browsing TvTropes/Finishing making flasks for the unprepared raiders/goofing off or what have you. The real reason I love them is the 2 hour respawn timer.
If you can't down the boss in two hours- when the trash respawns- it's probably best to take a breather, and trash mobs are the perfect answer to that.
Mar 25th 2011 3:51PM I don't know- I'm going to throw this out there, but twin dragons? Is a lot easier to explain than it is to type. On top of that, this is one of those fights where you really, -really- want Vent working- where's she Deep Breathing?
I agree with Lisa. Honestly, it was a quick group run, so "Hey, I can't get vent to work- let me zone out quickly, if I can't fix it, feel free to replace me as needed." would have been warranted. Not "Vent's not working someone cater to my entitled needs since I joined and we downed old bosses that were significantly easier than these ones."
*shrug* My two cents.
Mar 9th 2011 7:05PM Yeah, that first link super frustrated me. Yet another entitled tank/healer blog about how DPS have it easy? "Triage, nobody else has to deal with Triage!" Yeah, but they also don't have to deal with adds or interrupts. Ignoring adds and interrupts works about as well as tanking in DPS gear fully, or healing by spamming your best spell over and over.
Feb 7th 2011 3:08PM Mrhm- I actually think that you should switch to adds and keep Bane of Havoc on Halfus- the adds need to die ASAP (the whelps are easiest, honestly- pop rain of fire and maybe an engineering bolt gun, but honestly, whatevs) and the sooner that happens, the better. Due to Dragon's Vengeance, you'll still meet the Enrage timer even if you swap to adds. *shrug*
Feb 7th 2011 1:02PM The problem with getting a WoW playing celebrity to host it? He's going to have to call out of raids, and his opening speech will be... less than optimal. "Alright, guys, I'm going to make this quick, because right now I'm in LFG for the headless horseman. Yay blizzcon! Damn, my queue popped. Later guys!"
Feb 2nd 2011 10:11PM Ugh, forgot that it hates brackets. (Apples) is the guild name, which explains the oh-so-amazing re-fruitment pun.
Feb 2nd 2011 10:10PM 25-man raiding of Sisters of Elune (US-H) is a 25-man focused progression guild. We raid only three nights a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 CST-10:00 CST, and Sundays 5:30 to 10:00 CST); despite this we are very well progressed and hold a majority of server firsts. We're heavily re-fruiting Melee DPS and healing classes of all varieties. See our website ( http://applesguild.com/ ) for more information.
Jan 30th 2011 5:19PM When I go to the new WoW page and look up my character (Malakoji, Sisters of Elune), it displays my average Ilvl as 345, but next to it, it says "355 equipped".
Is there a reason for the discrepancy (why my average Ilvl is lower than my equipped Ilvl), just a weird UI quirk of some variety, or is it because I kept a few questing items for RP purposes (like the new octopus on a stick)?
Jan 8th 2011 8:14AM The RNG is a cruel mistress. A cruel, cruel mistress.
Despite that, I am relatively lucky- got the recipe for Vial of the Sands in my first Canopic Jar, I gleefully nabbed the healer trinket from Archaeology, and got both Anzu and the White Hawkstrider within a month of starting to farm it.
And I still do Kara every week, so there's that. :P
