Hellfire at level 55 {WoW}

May 4th 2007 7:41AM Imo you are a fool NOT to go to hellfire when you reach 57th.

As previous posters have pointed out:
- XP per kill is double that on azeroth
- greens drop rate is double
- professions can be skilled up
- gold/hr whilst grinding is greatly increased as well.

My warrior went there at 57th and it took only 3 hours of grinding at 1140xp per kill to get to 58th by whcih time I had picked up 3 bits of 57th plate and assorted green leather and cloth items.
My warrior is now mid-58th and his armour and hits have both increased by 1000 since coming to Outland.

It's a no brainer.

Forum Post of the Day: I have never looted an epic {WoW}

Apr 26th 2007 3:10AM 1 year with 2 chars at 70th, one at 50th, 4 at 35th and a couple of lowbies.

I've had ONE epic drop - Flurry Axe dropped by a deadwood furbolg in felwood. Happened only 2 weeks ago.

Breakfast topic: Most hated mob abilities {WoW}

Apr 24th 2007 12:27PM Plaguebats in EPL who fear you every 10 or 15 secs and the Yetis in Winterspring who keep iceblocking you....v.annoying.

Why does everyone want to DPS? {WoW}

Apr 23rd 2007 12:15PM one reason and one reason only....the higher ur dps the faster u level.

2.1.0 forum reaction: Paladins and rogues {WoW}

Apr 17th 2007 3:43AM I seem to remember a WoWInsider article where a Blizz rep said they weren't going to be messing with the class balance again.

It shows you what utter retards they are.

I keep wondering why it is that Shaman and Locks never get nerfed and the only explanation I can think of is that there are certain key individuals in the Blizz organisation that like to play Shaman and Locks and they are making sure that when they play, they pwn.

When it comes to nerfs, maybe change is good {WoW}

Apr 12th 2007 7:35AM Mike, you are demented if you think that Blizzard constantly nerfing things "keeps things interesting".

WRONG! Every nerf adds to a bank of frustration and every day someone's bank is filled until it can't take any more and they quit.

Blizz better hope that the number of people starting doesn't dip below the number of those leaving.

More on Alchemy changes {WoW}

Apr 12th 2007 7:24AM @3

Clearly the article distinguishes between Flasks and Elixirs. I know what a Flask is but what is an Elixir and how does this differe from a potion? There are potions call Elixirs. This is all very confusing.

However, Blizz are just a bunch of idiots. They're not happy unless they're nerfing something. Instead of making the game a joy to play they want to make it as difficult and frustrating as possible. Can't wait until something better comes along and then Blizz will reap it their rewards as people desert their servers in droves.

Breakfast topic: Leveling weapon skill {WoW}

Apr 9th 2007 8:14AM There's a mob in the Blasted Lands outside of the Burning Crusade portal. Can't remember the name of it but it's something like "Servant of ...". basically they're invulnerable unless you destroy a container nearby. It's 57th level.

If one of my 70s need to level up a weapon I just ste my character to attacking this mob..and come back every few mins to heal. Works better with a hunter or self-healing class as you can set your pet to aggro the mob and keep it healed or simply heal yourself. For non-healer types, you'll have to run away once your health gets low.

Scholomance? More like Solomance {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2007 9:10AM We took a 60th mage, a 61st warrior, a 67th Druid, a 70th Pallie and a 70th hunter into UBRS.

We breezed through to Drakk where we managed to kite Drakk and kill his bodyguards but Drakk was too strong for us in the end. Having my feral druid in healing gear doing all the healing might have had something to do with it. Anyway I reckon UBRS would be possible with 4 x 70th at a push. Drakk's conflagration - which no-one resists - is just too much.

5000g is just too much for an epic flying mount {WoW}

Mar 15th 2007 5:16AM Mike, you have it right. 5000g is too much.

I can't understand Blizz. On one hand they make gold much more plentiful in Outland and I think "Yes, this will be another nail in the coffin of the WoW gold buying market" and THEN they make the price of the Epic flying mount 5000g and completely undermine their previous efforts.

The fact is that your average part-time WoW player will not be able to afford 5000g not for a very long time after reaching 70. I have two 67th level chars and I still only have 1200g between them. Neither of them has been able to afford the riding skill cost required for epic land mounts until recently.

So now when I see someone with an epic flying mount I think to myself that person has bought WoW gold.

So well done Blizz. You've given a much wanted boost to the WoW gold sellers.
