The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Patch 3.2 wish list {WoW}

Jun 26th 2009 1:52AM WE ARE NOT HYBRIDS, I hate that blizz even says that, no matter what spec we are we dps, being a Tank just means the Mob is attacking you, hunters tank for certain encounters, so have warlocks and other classes so should they be considered hybrids because they techniquely can tank.....NO of course not but oh since a warrior can quote tank we are hybrids and another thing if tanking is not a form of dps why is tank dps such a big issue or topic that is discussed so much on forums because we DPS!! while tanking, why do hunters have an ability that taunts? why do warlocks have abilities that create very high amounts of threat because those abilities are meant to be tanked with, WE ARE NOT HYBRIDS, what makes a hybrid a hybrid is having a blue bar that fill a green bar, the ability to heal or dps, heal, tank, or dps is what makes a hybrid.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Patch 3.2 wish list {WoW}

Jun 26th 2009 1:40AM A GOOD tank shouldnt have problems with threat as it is, so forget the stupid intervene and do the little dps you can to help kill the boss.

The 2 piece T9 set bonus for tanks sucks hardcore, I mean honestly being an MT I have absolutely no use for that whats so ever, and like I said unless your MT has issues with threat I still see no use for it for an OT. And again a GOOD tank shouldnt have problems with threat.

Patch 3.2 changes the tiered Emblem system {WoW}

Jun 18th 2009 9:17PM These changes are the WORST changes Blizz could possible make. That being said this will definitly no doubt ruin the game, this is simply beyond casual playing this is completely BS theoretically a player could get 4 pieces of T8 by running heroics and VoA and then the other Emblem of conquest gear on top of that, way to make the game a complete and total joke, this has nothing to do with hardcore or casual play the game has lost any challenge what so ever when it come to getting gear thats why hardcore players are leaving. some content being made easier to be more accessible is one thing but making virtually the best gear in the game come from loot pinatas(heroic bosses) is rediculous. I will no doubt be moving onto aion as will much of wows current community.

while I like the fact that blizz is trying to get people to run heroics more, I dont believe offering them T8 and emblems of conquest is the right answer, there has to be some other way to get people to gain interest in heroic again.

Breakfast Topic: How old is your character? {WoW}

Jun 13th 2009 6:32PM I have 427 days played on my warrior, whom ive been playing since right after beta, hes been my main and always will be i have a couple alts but I only lvled one to 70 during BC, i just love my warrior.

daxos:I see I was wrong to expect Sparta's commitment to at least match our own.
King Leonidas: Doesn't it?
[points to Arcadian soldier behind Daxos]
King Leonidas: You there, what is your profession?
Free Greek-Potter: I am a potter... sir.
King Leonidas: [points to another soldier] And you, Arcadian, what is your profession?
Free Greek-Sculptor: Sculptor, sir.
King Leonidas: Sculptor.
[turns to a third soldier]
King Leonidas: You?
Free Greek-Blacksmith: Blacksmith.
King Leonidas: [turns back shouting] Spartans! What is your profession?
Spartans: HA-OOH! HA-OOH! HA-OOH!
King Leonidas: [turning to Daxos] You see, old friend? I brought more soldiers than you did.

Old Azeroth through rose-colored glasses {WoW}

May 23rd 2009 1:06PM I really do miss Vanilla and you give me a classic server I would be there in a heart beat and I guarantee I would love it, I for one miss the epic 40 man raids, world PvP and BG's (NO ARENAS AND NO RESILIENCE). I never got bored of running MC I still run it to this day, I still do all the old vanilla raids nearly every week just cause I miss them, I would love a classic server even though I know it wont ever happen I can still hope.

Give Bloodlust to Rogues {WoW}

May 5th 2009 7:48PM I find it funny all the QQ about how rogues need to be better and they needs buffs, I'm sorry but L2 play your class. In my Guild both rogues are doing top dps on the meters every raid doing between 5-6k dps rogues are just fine, if you cant pull good dps as a rogue than you need to do some research and learn to play your class. Oh and guess what I find it funny all the QQ about pures cause guess who's #2 on the meters in my guild Hunters doing 5k+ dps, we also have 2 mages and 2 warlocks doing 4.5k -5k dps so quit QQing and again L2 play your class.

25-man gear should not be better than 10-man gear {WoW}

Mar 31st 2009 11:34PM "In my opinion, there is no justification for this. A common argument is that 25-mans are harder, and thus 25-man raiders "deserve" better gear."

I agree to this completely we do deserve better gear, I mean why not we put more people to together and and got 15 more people to do the fight correctly.I also believe that our gear should set us apart as players high end guilds having the absolute best gear in game and casuals not so much but that doesnt happen everyone in wow casual/bad all the way to hardcore has the same gear cause anyone can get it, its a joke to get gear in Lich King, all you do is wait for it to drop.

" This is related to the argument that 10-man raids are for "casuals", while 25-man raids are for "hardcore" players."

Hardcore players? theres no such things as hardcore anymore all this content is casual, its such a joke, if your a casual player and you cant farm this content throw yourself off a cliff cause this is by far the most laughable content there has ever been.

"Reward should be proportional to to effort. But reward should not necessarily be proportional to pain."

I have no idea what you mean by pain, But I will agree that 25 man content should offer better reward and in current content 10-25man gear is virtually the same. Now you say you have no problem with 25mans virtually becoming abandoned, I for one do have a major problem, I watched this game go from its glory in vanilla to its absolute joke of a game it is now, I for one miss all the 40 man raids each raid was an experience and I loved going even if I happen to not get gear that night, back then not only did the gear drive you to raid but so did the content, now so many people take breaks from playing cause they got the BiS within the first few weeks of Lich Kings lauch and of course they get burnt out cause of running the same raid all week just with more people, If 25 mans were virtually abandoned, I for would be quiting and I know many players who hate doing just 10 mans BC was and is still much better than Lich king even though they made it a joke at the end, there were gear gaps in content, attunements and keys to get, I grinded rep to revered just to run heroics, and get me wrong I loved BC but it was still a step down from vanilla IMO. But in my personal opinion theres no such thing as raiding experience today its so acessable by everyone that no one player can be unique. certain content was easy abviously for casuals and certain content was made very hard for abviously the hardcore players, that what people dont get through there head they conplain they cant do it but if you actually could log how much time some of these people actually spent trying to down something hard you see it was little to none, cause casual players just dont try hard enough or dont have the time to, but blizz always listens to them and removes keys/attunements and just nerfs away the challenge. I for one would abandone LK and BC and return to vanilla if only blizz would release the Pre-bc server, but they already said they have intentions of ever doing so....but I still hold out some hope.

Ready Check: Ulduar and Burnout {WoW}

Mar 30th 2009 4:42PM Being a veteran from vanilla I have a lot of mixed feelings on Lich king content, while someone who just started playing in lich king, someone who never got to experience REAL raid content, probably loves it. Also I feel that nothing sets us apart as players in LK The hardcore players and casual/bad players all have the same gear because ALL the content is available to everyone, Also this contributes to bad applicants to high end guilds. I for one have been playing for a very long time and have seen ALL the content, and in my opinion Vanilla content is by far the best content, there was so much time and effort put into it and you had to get keyed/attuned for nearly everything something unheard of in LK, I feel that Ulduar will be no different than current content, high end guilds will clear it with in a couple days and every other guild out there will clear it more than likely within a few weeks. I think GC and Blizz need to take a long look at the game now and what the game used to be and make some changes cause if they dont, I know many players will soon be leaving and many already have.

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: You Will Be Forced To Conform {WoW}

Mar 28th 2009 8:00PM "Entire post just screams QQ.

You're not entitled to have your gearing priorities stay consistent throughout the entire game.

Are you seriously wanting us to believe that other classes' loot priorities won't change as well in 3.1?

So you spent some DKP on some gear and now wish that you'd spent it on something else. Quit crying and learn to adapt.

Not saying that your post doesn't have some good points, it just reeks of a sense of entitlement and class bias.

If the worst thing you have to worry about is that your enchants don't come with Strenght instead of AP - then you've GOT IT PRETTY DAM GOOD AS FAR AS YOUR CLASS IS CONCERNED." - ColdBear-

First what class do you play, you should try dealing with nerfs literally all the time and whispers from people saying go F*** yourself your OP cause yeah DK's doing 3-4k dps in blues isnt OP at all, yet they really havent seen any "nerf" that has actually hurt them, and on top of that getting this AP nerf at the sametime as TG nerf is huge, The TG nerf is bad enough and is alrdy going to screw us over and our raid viability will be in question. And yes having to change gear to just become more raid viable after a nerf sucks. And as someone has alrdy said why take a warrior fury or prot to a raid when there are classes *cough DK's cough* that can tank just as well and will more than likely be doing much more dps come 3.1.

Breakfast Topic: What is WoW's biggest mistake? {WoW}

Mar 25th 2009 1:10PM Blizz's Mistakes well I'd have to say there are many of them Ive been playing since the beginning and ive slowly seen this game go down hill for me and probably many others. But lets start off with PvE, well Lich King content is a complete joke a laughable if I may say, sure achievements make a few of these fights harder but choosing to make the fight harder not many people will do that. Lich king content is also what you call "loot pinatas" theres no such thing as progression anymore just a boring repetative waiting for you loot to drop process pr grinding out the emblems to get your T7. There are no attunements quest chains anymore no grinding rep to run a heroic, so all those casual players/bad players go right into raiding and have the same gear as a hardcore player, so nothing really separates us as players except the achievements but then again many care about achievements and many people dont. and as for instances like sunwell or BT or 40 man naxx those raids were released for the hardcore guilds in my opinion they werent released for casual players, so if you want to see that sort of content get more dedicated to raiding and stop asking blizz to just hand you gear.

Now as for DK's I do believe that they ruined WoW in a way, There an over abundance of them for sure they are OP in PVE and PvP and Blizz loves them so we will most likely never see a change there, nearly every healer i knew in BC switched to a DK and so did nearly ever tank i knew, its honestly stupid when you enter an AV and the first 5 groups are all DK's.

Now as for PvP In my personal opinion PvP as been dead since the removal of the ranking system in Vanilla. also I feel separating PvE and PvP was mistake aka the implementation of resilience, Im a PvEr so I spend most of my time raiding but back in vanilla I loved PvPing also and i could do it anytime. Now you enter a BG and get destroyed cause you have 0 resil not because you dont know how to play or dont have any skill, you get owned because you have no resilience. I honestly miss the grinding ranks in PvP and miss the days when PvP took pure skill as a player and not the gear, sure i takes skill to get a high rating arena but when it comes to bg's or just PvP in general I feel its dead. and Also not to mention the fact the its the most unbalanced PvP system EVER.
