Spiritual Guidance: The sorta-official shadow priest census {WoW}

Sep 23rd 2011 9:50AM There are plenty of opportunities to use Leap of Faith, but it's silly that it drops shadowform indeed. Here are a couple I can think of, off the top of my head;
- Moving people over a puddle on hc Beth'tilac
- Moving people over a fire on heroic Staghelm
- Moving people out of a wave on Ragnaros
- Moving someone you're chained with to you on hc Baleroc
- Moving someone away from being chased on Shannox

It's often used to save someone from their mistakes, but I love that. That is the best kind of teamwork - when my skills can make up for someone elses mistakes (and vice versa).

Encrypted Text: Welcome your new legendary-wielding rogue overlords {WoW}

Sorting legendaries by class and not roles is such a rogue way to look at things ^^ Assuming a feral would love to switch to balance to get their hands on a legendary is like assuming a rogue would. Just reroll right? We've all had a chance at the legendary this expansion with that reasoning.

You're clearly missing the point. You're discussing what is theoretically possible, which is kind of meaningless. Yes of course a feral druid -could- respec balance for the staff. What's interesting is: How many feral druids have gotten to lay their hands on the caster staff? How many guilds would just skip their row of "real" casters - casters who already have all the gear and experience - and ask their feral druid if they'd be bothered to completely switch role and gear to get a legendary, that will be moot in a patch or two anyway? The answer is, close to none. And if the number of ferals who use a caster staff is basically zero, you can safely say that ferals don't actually have a legendary.

With your line of reasoning healers would've had a legendary with the Shadowmourne, Thunderfury, Warglaives etc, just because there are healing classes that can respec into the "right" spec for those weapons. In fact, healers and tanks have had the possibility to use basically -every- legendary so far - yet that is a really non sensical argument for not letting them have a "real" one in the future.

The Daily Quest: Good idea, bad idea {WoW}

15 Minutes of Fame: Come one, come all to the astounding Traveling Museum of Debris {WoW}

Jul 29th 2011 7:19AM This idea is really cool, but I don't really understand why the vendor price would be important?
I wish I'd come up with something like this, I normally love gathering and collecting "crap".

WoW Archivist: Memories of Dire Maul, part 2 {WoW}

Jun 14th 2011 8:59PM Oh I love these reads, great text. More more!

I actually did a Tribute Run on my lowbie tank just to reminisce on old times. Because I was the tank I had the power to convince the rest of the group to do it with me. But I remember there being a fifth guard at the beginning, before Fengus, called Mol'dar. Was he not in the original run (I honestly can't remember the original run much)? I also want to remember that you needed loads of materials for the Ogre Suit, not just the Tannin from upstairs (but that is all you need for the new run). I think Runecloth, Thread and Rugged Leather was needed as well (sneak peaking at wowhead *ahem*).

I do recommend anyone who happens to pass by the instance on some alt to try to do the Tribute Run, it was great fun. Unfortunately the rewards aren't better than what you'd get from the bosses anymore, but they were different.

Drama Mamas: The case of the good friend who's a bad tank {WoW}

May 27th 2011 8:37PM For some reason, the ending to my comment was derped away by the comment system:
"My suggestion is to offer her another role in the raid (if she wants to). That way she can still be an important part of the team, but as something else. And who knows, maybe she is awesome as a hunter?"

May 27th 2011 8:35PM Knowing plenty of people who are "great persons but awful players" that I have tried to coach but who nearly always answer "Nah, I prefer it my way" or "that just makes me feel nervous" and thousand other excuses for why they are too bad to be good, just trying to coach people isn't always as easy as it sounds. As some have said - she really has to want to become better. She has to think she actually can become better before that. Some players are just not cut out to do some content (I suck at pvp for instance...) and you have to be able to tell your friends that too. But how?

May 10th 2011 7:34PM "Every time the developers think they've killed off the last vestige of our utility in raids, some enterprising wanker pipes up from the back of the conference room with, "Wait! I just thought of something else!"
Haha awesome, just awesome.
