Raid Finder loot rules changing in patch 4.3.2 {WoW}

Jan 8th 2012 12:10AM What a lot of whining.
I have this to say.
Be happy with that. You would not be raiding without the LFR. If it is really that bad, stop it, organise your own raid team and divvy up loot the way you want to.
Blizzard told us UPFRONT that the loot system would be flakey around hybrids but that they currently had no way ingame to match class/spec/role and stats neatly and that it would come in MoP.
Blizzard are not lazy, they are not stupid, if they are telling you they cant do something right now you should believe them. Enjoy what you are getting to experience for the first time.
Unless you are an OO Programer with exposure to the WoW Code then you have no idea at all how hard or easy it might be to add to the current codebase.

Drama Mamas: Loot lessons {WoW}

Dec 26th 2011 9:37PM Gendou... it might be consensus... but you have no idea as ML or RL if any given person has Server Transferred or Faction Transferred or has been afk for the last 9 months. As a Guild Leader and occasional Raid Leader I always tell my people.
Never assume, it will make and ass of u and me.
Hell, I have a guildy who wrote a mod for our loot rules back in Wrath for ICC. It's been updated and we still use it. Unless you can be sure that a pug knows your loot rules you need to spell them out. Both this column and Officers Quarters have said WRITE IT DOWN on multiple occasions when it comes to rules.

Drama Mamas: Loot lessons {WoW}

Dec 26th 2011 8:23PM OP,
The guild in question is either dodgy or inexperienced. If they are raiding multiple bosses in DS I would say they are not inexperienced. They should have told you the loot rules when you joined, but you should have asked. Once you had loot you should have been told the loot rules, but they were either too pussy to tell you or they were just gonna lie to you.

As for Blizzard and Master Looter... if you join a group where Master Looter is set then you accept the decisions of the Master Looter. If there is no discussion of loot rules in chat, ie where Blizzard can see them, then there are no rules. Blizzard is not your Mom or your Kindergarten Teacher and DOES NOT CARE if something is FAIR.

IMO, the one loot per run thing is polite but by no means normal. I see no reason why you should not roll MS on the staff and put the wand up for adoption when you win, unless you have chanted/gemmed/soulbound it already.

Now for the real Drama...
Princess, your inexperience and confusion caused the drama. Whispering the raid members and whining about it not being fair just makes you look like a greedy noob. And honestly as Lisa pointed out, calling yourself the 99% probably illustrates your noobness more then anything else. You made a bad decision to not ask about loot rules, then a worse one to not just bail when you think they lied to you. Instead you annoyed everyone else, bummed their raid night and made yourself look like a noob. Honestly, coming here and whining about it without doing any research on the topic also makes you look like a noob. Loot drama is common and often discussed and all of the topics you have raised have been discussed here before.
The guild did the wrong thing, so did you. Neither of you is right, but you are by far more annoying and selfish.

5 ways to improve the Raid Finder {WoW}

Dec 16th 2011 5:57AM You know gapid, that could be an actionable offense. If they are stupid enough to boast about it in chat ticket their sorry asses for griefing the loot system. The have clearly stated they didn't need the item and have taunted and griefed the rest of the raid.
Put the ticket in, then put them on ignore.
Hopefully you wont see them again, and they will get slapped.

Blue Post and Other WoW News: In which Zarhym wants LFR to say "okie dokie" {WoW}

Dec 9th 2011 5:13PM Having played since mid Vanilla I can tell you this is definitely not the most buggy patch.
Servers are stable, Taxi's and Ships are working right, the Icestone is not melting and there is plenty of Instance spaces available.

Addon Spotlight: Raiding essentials for tanks {WoW}

Sep 30th 2011 8:15AM Tauntmaster is an addon that works of a bad assumption.
It assumes that the mob that is aggroed on someone is the one they are targeting. It will work one for ONE taunt for ONE class, but that is all.
I wish it worked, I really wish it did, but it is based on a very bad assumption.
Put another way... an Addon can NEVER make targeting decisions for you, NEVER. Blizzard will break anything that does this for you. The original Decursive and Healbot back in the pre BC days did this and Blizzard very deliberately broke that capacity. Tauntmaster CANNOT target a mob based on who it has aggro on.

WoW Rookie: 8 tips the veterans use in their gameplay {WoW}

Aug 25th 2011 9:35AM #5 cannot be stressed enough while leveling.

Talent Points are there to be spent. Use them as soon as you get them. Don't worry about not being right for endgame, you will have to respec from a leveling spec to a Dungeon/Raid spec anyway.

and a bit of a simple one,
With the new Blizzard UI, if the button is glowing, you should probably be spanking it.

Try EVERYTHING to find what is most fun for YOU.

Aug 4th 2011 10:11AM Simple for me,
ICC10, Valithria.
Event Succeeded with all Players Dead.
She hit 100% just as the last player died, then the event took about 3 sec to play the animation and award success.

Patch 4.1: Blizzard unveils dungeon finder Call to Arms {WoW}

Apr 6th 2011 10:40PM I like this change. I think it is a move in the right direction. Please monitor the performance Blizz and make adjustments to fine tune this.
Oh wow. The number of whiney "but this does not benefit _MY_ main" QQer here. Blizzard are trying to find a way to encourage people to play certain class roles that are needed to make the game work. The reason people dont want to play these class roles is...probably...YOU! If there is a massive shortage of Tanks across the 12,000,000 accounts in WoW then it's not some glitch in the matrix it is becasue something is not rewarding about the experience of playing a Tank in the LFD. This is an attempt to make it more rewarding.
Stop whining about things being unfair it makes you look like a 12yo. If you are a 12yo, time for some real learning... sometimes things are not fair.

You know, for all the DPS Mains whining about this... How about the Stick System instead. If you have a Tank, you have to run LFD once a day when you log in (7/week) or you lose 5% of all of your rep each week. To match this, if a DPS pulls aggro, they are instantly charged the full amount of the tanks repair bill from 0% for each offence.
