Sep 30th 2011 3:14AM I would say that they anticipated this had it probably wont affect masochism's mana return mechanic. My bet's going to 'it will only apply the reduction after the mana return has been calulated' or something like that.

personally I try to open with it so my starting rotation will hit harder, sometimes I remember, sometimes I forget.

at least with this 4pc both SMF and TG should be able to have some really decent up time on the CS debuff, now if only they fixed the 2pc

The situation in that comment there lies in the phrase 'trash fight'. Sure popping IR to help cleave spam will boost your damage to a noticeable amount, but it's during trash. On boss fights both of those Warrior DPS set bonuses are lame and boring, and honestly not worth it.

Luckily enough it's still early for the outcry to reach the devs and change them. Hopefully to something that actually revolves around abilities that are used on a regular basis. Here's to hoping!

Blood Pact: The future of destruction {WoW}

Sep 19th 2011 7:39PM I totally agree with almost all of this, with two minor exceptions:

1) If Blizz wants us to use corruption as destruction maybe having some sort of synergy between CB and corruption like corruption boosts CB's damage slightly, and CB refreshes Corruption's duration. If it were like that, our DOTs would be much more streamlined. Then we could focus more on the fun of blowing things up and keeping up our other buffs (like ISF, stupid stupid ISF), instead of checking if corruption has fallen off.

2) I don't much mind the Imp as the 'pet of choice' for destruction, what I do mind is the Impowered imp talent. Our reliance on having our pet crit to give us a buff to instantly cast soul fire (and reapply ISF in turn) bugs the hell out of me. This is another thing that I think should be changed to buff Destruction. It could be another two-fold talent, something like the imp has x% chance to grant a buff that increases fire damage done, for X secs, and when you stack 3-5 stacks, you get your instant cast Soul fire. Bam! Two birds, one stone.. Our damage looks and feels better, and Impowered Imp is much more reliable.

Jun 12th 2011 4:14AM IMHO, if you can squeeze out extra hit while not completely ignoring other stats, it's always usually attractive.

According to EJ's warrior faq, after the yellow and expertise cap, crit and then hit are what you really want as far as secondary stats go, for both TG and SMF.

The quick burst of rage provided by our buff shouts now, that extra 30 is nothing to be overlooked, I still miss bloodrage personally but I make do

I find that even at a 358 item level in my dps gear, that missing swings really hurt my dps from crappy rage gen than anything else. I think that it's kind of backwards that because we work off of a resource that's intended to be more abundant as our gear gets better, that we end up having to be scaled back as far as passive damage buffs are considered.

May 11th 2011 2:07PM The two biggest things I've learned from playing my rogue are:

1. Patience: That's probably the thing that everyone's said but it' helped me calm down on all my toons and wait to hit stuff when I need to instead of tapping on my keyboard like a jackhammer.

2. There's a big difference between starting an execute phase attack, and just sticking with the normal stuff. It's not so hard when playing my warrior, as execute is only usable at 20% or lower; however, knowing when to switch to backstab as my rogue, or drain soul as my lock for that matter, can potentially make the difference between looking like a scrub and looking like a winner, lol
