May 4th 2009 12:09PM Sorry for all the grief karatechop. You were treated shabbily by Blizz and now by some members of the community.
This was not a big deal but Blizz made it one. Come on, all Blizz had to do was remove the item, send a note saying "don't use this", and remove the World firsts and achievements. This is not rocket science. It's a game and it's supposed to be fun. This makes it ... well it makes it the same as what I see every day at work. People who have power, abusing those who don't because they can. Other people blaming the victims. It's just sad.
Mar 13th 2009 2:17PM LOL. I'll remember that, but I will point you to the top of the site where the word "news" is directly under the logo. Off to go make my own blog and tell people what to think and say.
Mar 13th 2009 12:12PM I'm less concerned about Blizz deciding whether there are vanilla WoW servers and more concerned about the tone of the writer of this column. Honestly, we can't discuss anything about vanilla WoW realms? Period? Ever? We should just shut up?
Ok then, why doesn't WoWInsider put up a sign saying "Shill for Blizzard". Blizz runs forums. People talk. Blizz can take down any post they like, but it is against the whole principle of free speech (of any kind) for you as a columnist here to tell people "No. Never. Don't say that!" How about some honest discussions instead of the writers increasingly telling us to stop QQng and start going along with whatever. I pay to play. Blizzard is a business. If I want to say something stinks or it should be different, that's my right. Report the news; I'll decide what I want to say about it.
