Apr 7th 2010 4:42PM I think my shaman just spontaneously combusted. One moment she's siting in dalaran checking her mail. Reads the latest edition of Electroshock Therapy Monthly when she gets struck by lightning after squealing like a school girl(this looked very creepy for a female orc).
I can't wait to try these changes out on my resto/ele shaman when cataclysm comes out. I may even try creating another shaman to play as enhancement. I imagine Healing Rain will have it's healing batted around to even it out rather than adding a huge cooldown since we have no real control over keeping it efficient if it is a heal that we have to rely on others to move to.... anyone remember Lightwell? I imagine if the healing is too strong they will adjust it's coefficient like they did with priest's Prayer of Healing.
Mar 26th 2010 4:30PM I agree that it really does seem people online only see the avatar as the person behind the computer. I can't count the number of times that people are surprised when I get on Vent that I'm a guy. I have a vast majority of female characters because they tend to look better in gear than the males that look like they are bench pressing drakes to keep from roid rageing.
Okay fighting off ADD now and on to my comments of the article. :D
I really enjoyed the format as you can't find many people willing to RP and since this is a wow related site it's refreshing to see. I wish circumstances were better for Troubled Tank but he truely needs to examine his relationships to see what problems he can expect from both relationships and if he can correct the problems or at least find means around them that don't anger whichever partner he seeks to be with.
If you decide you want an open relationship where you have the freedom to see others then don't be surprised to lose both partners. Changeing the rules of a relationship in the middle of it is never an easy thing to do/hear and can be disastorous. As of right now whichever you choose you will have to beg forgiveness for you have wronged both parties and in the end depending on the circumstances you may find forgiveness but don't for the love of Azeroth/Earth expect forgiveness to be owed to you.
I hope to see more articles in this fomat but I'll be happy probably with any future article since I tend to agree with the advice given as it is. It also helps that others can elaborate on the advice and offer their own experiences through the comments.
Mar 10th 2010 4:13PM I didn't have time to read over everyone's comments so there is chance that my idea has been already brought up and shot down but here goes. I would like a hybrid between charges system and a timer.
For instance when you proc the Wrath buff it allows you 8 charges with a 15 second timer. What would happen is you would have 15 seconds to use the buff as we currently do however after that 15 seconds if you managed only 4 casts you would still have 4 charges left on the buff. If you use all 8 charges up before the 15 seconds then you keep the buff until the timer finishes. This would guarantee a decent number of casts for the proc while at the same time in a perfect scenario allowing haste to play a nice big role by guaranteeing 15 seconds of the buff. I figure the Starfire Buff would be best to get 4 charges since it has twice the cast time of wrath but still have the 15 second duration as well. Blizzard would of course have to code the cooldown to start after the buff has disappeared to keep people from somehow proc'ing both eclipses because of movement intense fights.
Just my 2 cents though.
May 13th 2009 4:11PM I would think that one way to take care of the problem with our short range abilities would be to remove the minimum range requirement on shooting. I'm not saying that we should be able to use all our shots in close range. I think Steady Shot, Multi Shot, and Kill shot should require you be at least 5 yards away but all other shots to have no minimum range requirement. This would give us the ability to be able to still put out strong damage in pvp since when that warrior is in our face. This would also eliminate the need for Blizz to try and come up with more hunter skills for close combat. I don't know about ya'll but I'd rather not try and find room for more skills on my taskbar.
Mar 16th 2009 4:32PM I think that they should make a tier one talent to allow a percentage of your spirit to be added as intellect. That would give us more of a stat that make use of while finally giving reason to us haveing this blue gear with spirit. This wouldn't increase our dps by a significant ammount since any fight that we may need that extra mana will probably still lead to an in fight Icy Veins/Evocate combo. This is just my 2 cents though.
