Jan 5th 2010 9:46PM Once upon a time when I was a GM, my guild had a standing policy of demanding our members disclose their ages, as well as whether or not any subject of conversation was offensive or off limits to them. Why? Because my officers and I were not running a baby sitting service. We had a hard-cap of no players under 13, and players under 18 were heavily scrutinized during their recruit period--sometimes going so far as asking to chat with the parents to ensure they knew who their minor children were running with, and what environments they did (or didn't) want their kidlets in. Take for instance the parent that didn't care who their kid played with--as long as they weren't "those gay homos trying to convert my boy." I told him since we had many GLBT members, as bigoted as I thought his sentiment was, I respected his right to raise his child as he saw fit, and told him we would remove his child's toons. It's not blizzard's job to police minors in Azeroth, and yes parents should collectively do better at this, but guild officers and leaders out there, do yourself the favor of policing your members from the perils associated of playing with children. You don't want to be the one unwittingly exposing some good little kid to a barrage of profanity in your vent, or age inappropriate conversation in your guild chat, and your guildies don't want to watch their mouths when they want to shoot the breeze about whatever to their digital friends.
TL;DR--Guild leadership types, please watch for small children, as their parental units may, for whatever reason, not be watching like they should.

Hell, will punt Tauren for prize. Will freaking *roll* a Tauren for prize--even though I've killed moo cow for sport for as long as I've been playing wow. Dec 30th 2009 4:51PM About that human male model... Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. It does have a great chest, abs, and an ass you could bounce quarters off. Seriously, find a human male warlock and get him to strip down to the T8 pants (which fit that model like low rise jeans) and you'll see what I mean. All they need is some nice new harelip-less faces, and maybe make the hands not look like they came from an elephantitis victim and got bolted directly to the forearm with no wrists.
Dec 29th 2009 8:01PM PERFECT for my priest. Or even better my DK who exists solely wholly and only to pick flowers and rocks. By the time that face rolly piece of garbage sees 80, level cap will be 85, damn him.

Dec 19th 2009 2:25PM I work silly late, and my server runs on Central time, so up til 3.3, trying to run heroics to get my priest alt geared up has been a pain. And then patch lands, and I can not only get even better gear through heroics, but have access to the battlegroup-wide LFG, and it's been GREAT. Now, instead of looking for people forever when it's 3am on my server, I get to play with the fine folks of Jubei'Thos--which is Oceanic, and the time difference means I suddenly have access to people on a server where the best time for me to be running said alt is prime-time for them! Nothing better than that, and the tanks off Jubei'Thos seem to really enjoy having the healer tell them to go ahead and speed pull until I tell you I'm oom. So far, pretty freakin' fabulous. :)
Nov 24th 2009 12:45PM Ooooo mouse... that'd be nice to have. :)
Oct 29th 2009 2:29PM See, this does and doesn't make sense to me.
If you were a real hero, looking for other real heroes to go blow something up, you'd go to a major city and start poking around inns and taverns and maybe even stand in the middle of the city and holler for help. So it makes some degree of sense that /LFG would work like /trade.
On the other hand, this is pretty clearly an extension of the BG queue from anywhere system that has proven quite successful. My bigger reservation isn't issues with Dalalag--it's can I /ignore the d-bags from other servers so I don't have to put up with them ever again. Like there's a tank on my server who's geared to the teeth, and he'd come up in your random LFG if you were geared for ToC, but there's a 60/40 chance of a complete and utter wipefest if you get him.
