Jan 17th 2011 4:44PM This is a load of horse $%#@. When it comes to hunters, the question Blizzard must answer is, does this make hunters competitive and if it does, how can I nerf it without being obvious. If you have played hunters for as long as I have, you know that the minute a hunter ability is considered OP, blizzard doesn't even wait for the next patch. It gets "hot-fixed" right away. Which is far different to how blizzard treats abilities in other classes. Druids went through an entire expansion before they got nerfed. Blizzard even admitted they were aware that druids were OP, but "didn't feel implementing a fix in the middle of an expansion was the best course of action"(paraphrased). People complained that Death Knights and Paladins were OP during Wrath beta and after release of Wrath xpac, but they consistently denied there was a problem. They stated everything will balance out when people reach 80. After several months and it was obvious that things haven't balanced out, blizzard whips out the nerf bat.
In terms of Hunters, PTR is just to allow Blizzard to make sure hunters continue to stay sub-par. That is why, unlike most other classes, tweaking hunter abilities is such a coaster ride.
Mar 25th 2009 4:23PM Someone slap this baby and tell him to stop crying.
Why are you complaining about RNG? I can't think of another class that has more RNGs than rogues. Dismantle is devastating to a hunter as they HAVE NO WAY TO DEFEND AGAINST IT, save a talent that reduces duration which reguires 13 points in the Survival Tree.
Rogues are also one of the top most represented classes in Arena. I am sure everyone has heard of PRM teams.
Rogues depend too much on RNG, you find a way to take that away from them and they have no clue what to do. Rogues dependency on RNG has cause them to lose alot of skill in other areas.
Only things rogues have any room to complain about is their usefulness in PvE. So stop your crying about PvP and learn to play.
Mar 24th 2009 7:46PM It is all about balance. BC introduced Arenas but as time went on and as it became more and more obvious that Blizzard was not interested in balancing classes, fewer and fewer people remained interested in Arenas.
Honestly, who wants to spend time learning how to PvP and building up skill when some noob can go roll a Deathknight and do in one day what it took you weeks or months to do?
Mar 18th 2009 4:55PM Rogues are OP, no question about it. DK are OP, noquestion about it. Will Blizzard do anything about it? HELL NO! Blizzard has no interest in balancing classes for PvP, particularly Arenas. There are about 5 classes that Blizzard favors for PvP and those classes will never be touched. The rest are just fodder for ratings.
The only balance we will ever see in PvP is when someone figures out how to bypass Warden.
