Blood Pact: Looking at new warlock talents, page 2 {WoW}

Oct 31st 2011 6:33PM " How cunning is Kil'jaeden? Well, not cunning enough to survive that whole Sunwell raid thing,"

He did, actually. Defeating him at the Sunwell only banished him, Kil'jaedan is still alive and well.

Breakfast Topic: What item would you design for WoW? {WoW}

Oct 31st 2011 6:24PM Ring of Extreme Fun
Equip: All "pointless" items (trinkets, inventory items, tabards, etc) have their cooldown removed. This allows you to use these just-for-fun items limitlessly.

Drama Mamas: How to help an abused guildie {WoW}

Oct 31st 2011 6:05PM "... a playstyle such as RP that you've never tried ..."

I know this may be kind of irrelevant, but...if you do this one, I strongly recommend you roll on Wyrmrest Accord. Setting aside the fact that it's one of the only two RP servers still going strong, it has one of the nicest, most welcoming larger communities I've ever seen on a WoW realm. I mean, sure, Trade's full of garbage and the realm forums are a crapshoot, but when isn't that the case? My point is, the realm itself is generally pretty nice and light-hearted. I think if you wanted to roll on an RP server for a change of scenery, you'd probably find WrA to be the most refreshing.

I'd comment on the rest of the article, but I'm too filled with rage and disgust at the irredeemable scumbag mentioned to be coherent. I feel as if I need to apologize for my gender, just because it includes that wretch.

Breakfast Topic: What's your calling? {WoW}

Oct 28th 2011 9:03AM What I like about them? Their characters! I'm a roleplayer first and foremost (though I like to dabble in PvE; I'm not great by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm usually in the middle/top area of the charts, so I don't think anyone complains overmuch) so I love...well, roleplaying. Coming up with a character, the storytelling, it's a ton of fun.

...It also results in a ton of half-neglected alts. I only have one 85, though my druid's sitting at 84 for right now.

Breakfast Topic: Are you afraid of the PUG? {WoW}

Oct 16th 2011 9:26AM Nah, I'm jaded enough that I don't really mind much these days. I'll apologize and own up to it if I make a mistake or am performing poorly, but if they decide to take the opportunity to go on a tirade about how ALL THE PLAYERS LIKE ME RUIN PUGS FOR EVERYONE I really couldn't care less.

My favorite is the ones who immediately declare the group will be a fail because I'm from a roleplaying realm (Wyrmrest Accord, if it's relevant).

Breakfast Topic: Is Azeroth's technology too advanced? {WoW}

Oct 15th 2011 10:17AM Warcraft is not a medieval setting. It never really has been. Goblins have been running around with zeppelins and explosives while Gnomes build war-helicopters for a long, long while now. If someone is complaining about Warcraft not fitting the "swords and sorcery" mold, then the problem is that they think it SHOULD - that isn't what Warcraft is, and it isn't meant to be.

World of WarCrafts: Making a custom RPG, Warcraft-style {WoW}

Oct 14th 2011 8:41AM I doubt they'd C&D this, Blizzard usually doesn't have kneejerk overreactions like that to minor stuff such as this. I seem to recall a few times they've actually ended up recognizing and hiring notable members of the fanbase who did stuff like this, actually.

Breakfast Topic: What about Gilneas? {WoW}

Oct 14th 2011 8:33AM Silvermoon is a massive RP hub on applicable servers (though Silvermoon RP tends to be hilariously bad, but that is neither here nor there) so it isn't a complete failure in that respect.

The Exodar is a bit depressing, though.

Breakfast Topic: What about Gilneas? {WoW}

Oct 14th 2011 8:32AM The reason Gilneas is abandoned is because it really IS largely abandoned in lore. It's a warzone. The Seventh Legion and Gilnean Liberation Front are still in the area, and they hold everything past the ruined Greymane Wall, but the Forsaken Front just over in Silverpine is still very much functioning and waging war. Letting citizens back into the city when it's still a WAR ZONE just isn't something they would do.

Once the war is resolved or at least stabilized, I could see it becoming a functioning city, but right now it really wouldn't make much sense. It IS a very beautiful place architecturally.
