TurpsterDoubleVision: Mounting Your Squire {WoW}

Sep 23rd 2009 11:02AM @Aaron:

On several occasions I've managed to make it all the way back to the hand-in point with the barrel still floating behind me. (As alliance) you only need to hit a point slightly to the right of end of the 1-foot high stone wall for the portable keg to show up in your inventory (which means youve done it right), you dont need to wait for the throwing animation.

Also you only need to get in line with the brewfest flag pole near the Amberstill fellow to get the hand in, no point wasting a valuable second there either.

Then you only need to hit three apple barrels per round trip, one on the way out (the closest) then shortcut over the mound on the right of the path. Then both of them on the way back. Just dont get stuck on a tree or something stupid like I have a few times. Easily 20+ runs possible.

Breakfast Topic: What race would you change to? {WoW}

Sep 23rd 2009 8:27AM Dwarf hunter, and never regretted it. For Khaz Modan!

European weekly maintenance: 23rd & 24th September 2009 {WoW}

Sep 23rd 2009 6:48AM @Agerath

I'm afriad that's not true. Laughing Skull-EU is an English speaking realm in the Conviction battlegroup (one of the other ones I mentionned was down). Raserei is a fully German language Battlegroup. As far as localisation goes anyway, I couldn't speak for the players.

European weekly maintenance: 23rd & 24th September 2009 {WoW}

Sep 21st 2009 1:17PM European Realms Conviction and Rampage (english-speaking), Raserei (german-speaking) and Férocité (french-speaking) Battlegroups have been offline today for a good number of hours (as of 1900 CEST).

One Boss Leaves: Svala sacrifices Salramm {WoW}

Sep 17th 2009 9:36AM I don't get it Svala won, so why are the first 3 reporting on how she loses? Only the last post is on how she might've won, and even then only marginally. This has been bothering me for a while; surely the point of this deathmatch column is that, broadly speaking, the article's contents/conclusion reflects the results? To some extent I can kind of understand featuring a balanced argument, particularly if the voice for the opposition is eloquent and well made, but in that regard I find the choice of first 3 featured comments here confusing. Don't get me wrong I enjoy reading these articles, but perhaps some better weighting for a closer representation of the vote results is in order?
Otherwise, Mockery's comment was enjoyable and Pollux's contribution was hilarious and disturbing in equal measure. Good work :)

Around Azeroth: Unnatural predation {WoW}

Jul 1st 2009 5:21AM I like! Is it just me or does that penguin looks downright evil?

This is likely to be the last Around Azeroth with the old druid froms.

UPDATE: Fields of Honor Loot Card EU giveaway {WoW}

Ready Check: Flame Leviathan {WoW}

Jun 15th 2009 9:57AM Indeed.

I would still recommend to anyone who hasn't already, to go watch Yogscast's "How To: Flame Leviathan" video. You (probably) won't regret it :)

WoW Moviewatch: Alliance vs. Horde - Episode 1 {WoW}

Jun 11th 2009 12:31PM Pretty uninspired and cheap Alliance-bashing there. If this is going to be an ongoing series then there could be some interesting and humorous comparisons of alliance/horde stereotypes with digs both ways, then it might have something. A balanced approach with a modicum of intelligence would be quite entertaining. Still, I won't be holding my breath.

If they plan to show repeated conversatons of this:
- Horde player: "You suck as a person and therefore as a faction in many ways"
- Alliance player: "Yes, I suck as a person and therefore as a faction in all those ways"
Then as far as I'm concerned it can stay in the juvenile minds of its would-be creators and out of my internets.

Breakfast Topic: Have you ever actually met a GM in-game? {WoW}

Jun 7th 2009 10:27AM I'm not sure where I read it, but a while ago curiosity lead me to the blizz page for applying to work as a GM. I remember reading that GMs were forbidden from having any interaction with servers where they already have characters. He could well be telling truth.
