Aug 12th 2011 4:39AM Unfortunately WoW seems to be a magnet for social misfits and Blizzard have decided not to bother policing it. It is a shame really. If I were starting up an MMO I would certainly put money and emphasis into staffing up my GM's to police trade and party chat - and then use this as a key differentiator to take market share aware from WoW. But hey, I am not quite in that position of power. :)

Jan 6th 2011 12:40AM Gearscore and ILvl don't necessarily follow each other.
ILvl is a straight average of the item levels of the items you have in each slot.
Gearscore weights different slots based on the item budget - for example, it will put more emphasis on the head, chest and leg slot items. It will also take into account the item quality. From a gear stat measure, Gearscore is more accurate.
So, you will usually have a different gear score from one person to the next, even though you may have the same equipped ILvl. If your gearscore is coming out lower then it probably means you have lower quality items in the key slots (chest, legs, head and possibly weapon).

May 13th 2009 4:18AM I am the author of GuildOx. Eliah's work here is great so no QQ from me.
As many of you have pointed out, GuildOx has to trawl through around 45000 ranked guilds. It covers all of these once every 3-4 days depending upon armory availability.
What happened here was that GuildOx found 'We Know Girls' first and then subsequently found other guilds as it completed its crawl cycle. Everyone is right in that GuildOx can't be expected to be up-to-date 100% of the time without any real-time hooks into Blizzard's database. I will amend our 'About' page to explain this.
Congrats to these guilds - it is a pretty awesome feat to earn this achievement, especially since we have had only 4 lock-outs since the 3.1 release!
Just on a side note, let me reply to a few comments:
1. GuildOx does not depend on guilds hitting the refresh button - it will do it automatically every 3-4 days provided your guild is ranked with at least 1 achievement.
2. We have 45000 ranked guilds so we should have most guilds already listed. It is rare that an established guild will need to be manually added, although newly formed guilds will require this.
3. The armory often reports achievements with a date that is one day later than what you see in-game. GuildOx uses the dates that are shown in the armory. I am under the impression that east coast US servers often exhibit that behavior.
