May 5th 2009 8:07AM I can see how doing holiday achievements back to back like this would be rough on a casual player, but for a raider like me who doesn't do much on the weekends or whenever I'm not doing dailys or raids, it's a perfect thing to keep me occupied.
Achievements keep me from getting bored with the game. And I wouldn't have experienced as much of the game as I have without them being there. I would never have grinded rep or gone back to those old instances and raids from Vanilla and BC (since I recently started playing).
As for holiday achievements, at the end of the year you get a 310% flying mount, so I don't think it's asking too much of players to do tedious holiday achievements year-round just to get it. Looking forward to receiving mine after Brewfest this year :)

Apr 14th 2009 10:08AM Besides Ulduar and dual specs, I'm actually really looking forward to the changes with the default quest tracking UI. Questhelper is great for quest tracking, but it uses up a lot of my memory too, so having a movable tracker with the default UI will be nice. And not having to search your bags to use an item for a quest? Yes plz.
As someone who will be broke after dual specs, I'm going to have to start doing as many dailys as I can to replenish my gold. :)
Breakfast Topic: Virtual Pets {WoW}
Apr 13th 2009 8:30AM I made an alt on a friend's server after he found out I finally picked up the game and named my character after my little siamese cat. Wanting me to level faster, he ran me through dungeons for gear, and the Siamese cat (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=8490) dropped from Cookie in Deadmines. I always thought it was awesome that I had a character named after my cat that was always followed by an in-game pet that looked just like her. :)

Apr 12th 2009 7:49PM I don't know if you could really call it a loss, but the quest chain with Crusader Bridenbrad in Icecrown really stuck with me for some reason. I usually don't get this caught up in quests, but I really and truly wanted to save this guy and was so disappointed that I couldn't.
I guess I have to be happy with A'dal at least giving him an afterlife.
.... I wanted to keep his tabard though. D=
