Mar 5th 2010 8:44AM I will not run the same dungeon over and over for one guildie that wants a piece of gear that is a rare drop.
I will not "give" gold away. I will lend if I know you. Why is anyone that broke? Run some dailies, use your professions to pay your expenses, take the time to loot and sell stuff.
Being an evil, soul sucking warlock and a gnome to boot there isn't much I won't do, but dang it even I have trouble with some of the animal quests.
Mar 2nd 2010 9:03AM Scott,
And here I thought he was simply mocking me for letting someone die when he wasn't around to take care of a "A paltry task" because I was "Too pathetic to fight my own battles."
Mar 1st 2010 5:24PM Or the ever so sarcastic, "What happened to your friend?" The snarkiness just drips off that one!
Not only that I think he plays the game better than I do!
Feb 18th 2010 2:02PM Back in BC we were doing Black Morass and I had been having dropped signals all evening long. Needless to say as soon as someone put a foot in the island I got dc'd. Being very upset I called the cable company. I began to complain to the tech guy. Without thinking I fussed that I had just wiped my whole party. There was silence. Then he said, "Well normally it would take several days to get this checked, but in this case I'll get the guys out there in the morning!" Come to find out he was a wow player and totally understood. True to his word the repair truck pulled up bright and early the next morning!
Gotta love it!
Feb 2nd 2010 1:41PM Not the worst quest by far, but I really dislike the daily cooking quest, "Blood is Thicker", it makes me cringe every time.
Dec 22nd 2009 7:56AM I've been a very good girl this year... except for that time...uhh..nvm... I'm in!
Dec 13th 2009 9:04AM I've been playing single player rpgs for a very long time. Wow is my first online multi-player game. The thing that bothers me the most is that it just doesn't feel okay to be just "okay". The push for BiS gear and seeing the end game proves difficult for those of us who simply enjoy playing along and letting the game unfold as a story. God forbid that we should take a few seconds to read what the quest givers have to say! If you dare to do that you will find yourself standing alone wondering where the rest of the party went. With that kind of impatience in place can you even imagine how frustrated the community would become trying to have a conversation with an NPC, even if they only had to do it once! I figure they would make a macros to speed through the responses!
Having said that I will admit that Wow has held my interest for over two years. I may never see those endgame dungeons or be invited to many raids but I have no intention of quitting the game. I might have to play Dragon Age Origins though and relive some of my love for the single player experience. I think that comparing the two play styles is simply put is a case of apples and oranges.
Dec 8th 2009 2:27PM The following is intended as a time saver for all those out here that don't want to read every post. Yes sarcasm is intended...
ZOMG!! QQ I want my money back from Blizzard! It's my day off!!!! I only have an hour a week to play! WAHHHH Why can't Blizz ever do anything right! QQ massively I hate this patch! I've lived for this patch for years! .... :( I'm quitting the game!!!!
Lets see did I leave anything out? lmao! I'm sure there are several hundred others..
Nov 17th 2009 9:34AM I do then mostly to irritate my guildies who think Achievements are worthless and can't catch up with me anyway! Plus I like them!
Nov 13th 2009 9:00PM You know the real issue here might just be a bit of jealousy. The poster stated that he tried to share the game with his wife by relating things about the his raids, guildies, etc. If he showed a lot of enthusiasm then she might feel that he's having more fun in some strange online world than he is with her. Now this could be called a self esteem problem or simply human nature.
She might feel threatened by wow in the same way she would by another woman that was showing him a bit to much attention. She can't totally deny the poster his game time without losing her dignity completely so she concedes to what what she feels is more than enough time. This is probably what also causes her to accuse the poster of being addicted and whatever other arguments are made against what she feels is a threat.
I don't have a solution, but maybe a bit of insight...
