Irrational releases the original BioShock pitch document {Joystiq}

May 21st 2010 5:14PM Jesus, the original pitch sounds awesome. I mean, the outcome was awesome as well, but the idea they originally has sounds cool and unique as well. Similar themes, just a different story. I wonder what made them decide to change it so dramatically.

May 16th 2010 2:51PM Foetoid. You miss the point. Again.

Well, more specifically, your point makes no sense. You say "Buy it because it makes no difference." Hell, I'll even agree that just me not buying their game will make no difference. But, I am not the only one. There are thousands out there who are just as pissed as I am and I'd be doing a disservice to gamers if I financed Activision in anyway.

You're the one that looks like an idiot for saying that one vote doesn't count. One vote DOES count when there are thousands of them.

May 16th 2010 5:15AM Foetoid, you're completely missing the point of why Activision is being boycotted. You make it sound petty and unfounded, when it is not. When the CEO is a cocky smartmouth who has little respect for anybody but his stockholders and believes that milking money by screwing over developers and releasing the same shitty games over and over again, that's when I take issue.

Hell, I'm okay with companies wanting money but Activision's methods feel more like extortion.

And, yes, I will Miss Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, and Blur. I'll miss Singularity, Transformers: War for Cybertron, and Wipeout: The Game. I'll miss the next 20 Call of Dutys and 40 Guitar Heros if I need to. Instead I'll continue playing games from companies that I don't feel like are intentionally screwing me over.

As is said, the only way to teach money whores like this a lesson is by not giving them money. So I am doing just that, and if you have issue with that then feel free to go run a money laundering bank.

Sorry, PUBLISHED. Either way, still not buying it.

May 15th 2010 1:54AM Looks cool. Too bad it's made by Activision. :/ (Won't be buying it)

Dante's Inferno anime remains faithful to Visceral source {Joystiq}

Nov 13th 2009 3:41PM I'm not sure about this, but if the directors of this are the ones behind those 6 anime listed at the beginning, the six should be:

Mamoru Oshii - Ghost In A Shell
Hiroyuki Kitakubo - Blood: The Last Vampire
Daniel DelPurgatorio and Mike Smith - Tales of the Black Freighter (Which I never really thought of as an Anime, but okay)
Shukou Murase - Ergo Proxy
Shinichiro Watanabe - Samurai Champloo (But because they say Samurai Champloo and not Cowboy Bebop, it makes me think it's not going to be him. I hope it is, though.)

Wait, that's only 5. Where's the sixth?

Either way, that's an amazing line-up of directors, ESPECIALLY if Shinichiro Watanabe is directing one because in my personal opinion, he is the best anime director of our time. I'll defiantly freak out of Yoko Kanno does the music for it.
