Gameplanet interviews Cory Stockton and Greg Street {WoW}

Jun 17th 2010 6:56PM So basically we are paying to just fly around in old Azeroth. Lame. There is literally nothing new in this expansion they are simply redoing old shit and telling us to be excited for it.

Simplifying stats is not expansion worthy considering they are just going back to Vanilla WoWs stat system and ditching all the stuff that screwed it up in BC like hit rating.

Path of the titans and Guild trees were the only somewhat fresh ideas and they butchered them. Have fun in WOTLK 2.0

Breakfast Topic: Are boss mods cheating? {WoW}

Apr 5th 2010 7:02PM People just say that to lie to themselves. Truth is no one cares because its only PVE and the players are meant to win. If this was in a pvp scenario it would give a clear advantage to the players who possess it.

Guess what, if Blizzard really wanted us to know exactly what the bosses were doing they would have given them obvious cast bars for every single change or move they were doing. Maybe one day they will do it but for now just admit that the add on makes the game easier than it was intended. Is it cheating? No. Its just giving the player a little handicap to help them win a fight they are already meant to win.

Editorial: Thoughts on the Ensidia ban {WoW}

Feb 5th 2010 11:19PM I think having them stripped of their loot and achievements along with the public knowledge that they exploited should have been enough.

Thats like Toyota blaming drivers cause their gas pedal gets stuck because you like to floor it and accelerate fast. They used a dps item and it turned around and helped them in an unspecified way. You don't want that stuff to happen then polish your content better because its not like Blizzard is making anything else to develop besides these raids.

Btw Ensidia could probably fight this if they really wanted, TOS don't fly in well in court as much as consumer protection and last time i checked they payed to play and now blizzard is denying them their service because of their own half assed testing.

Editorial: Thoughts on the Ensidia ban {WoW}

Feb 5th 2010 11:10PM @Azizrael

Your idea makes sense but didn't the article mention that they decided to ignore the valkyr and not attempt to dps them. Meaning their would be no reason for the rogue to be attacking them on his own and a saronite bomb would never reach the edge/

Introductory guide to fighting Druids, Page 3 {WoW}

Jan 19th 2010 11:15PM Uh why you guys jumping on him like hes wrong? Who in their right mind thinks a resto druid could beat a Ret pali? No we are not talking about their partners because guess what the Ret pali will have a partner too. We are talking 1v1 here. The pali will win every time after a very long pointless battle.

Thorns will never kill a ret pali who is more mana efficient than a druid. Oh is nourish going to kill him? Uh no.

Druids on his server are not awful. You people just don't know how to take anything in context and always assume that every resto druid comes with a free extra dps class when they pvp while palis come alone.

Play safe because a trojan can get you banned {WoW}

Sep 4th 2009 5:06PM TOS are not a legally binding contract people! They have been overturned in court time and time again. I can make up any "contract" i want and even if people agree to it the whole thing means squat if its deemed unenforceable.

Blizzard does not have the right to scan your computer with out your consent, let alone ban you from using a service you have already paid for. Anything in the ToS stating that this is online and they can change what they want "blah blah blah" would not last a second in court considering the game has been out for 5 years and this is only being added now to save themselves some money and is not an optional feature.

All valid contracts must be negotiable beyond Yes or No. Meaning if one party has all the power to change the rules whenever they want then its unenforceable since the other side can't renegotiate the agreement.

New add-on policy makes selling add-ons against the rules {WoW}

May 6th 2009 8:26PM Some people are really confused if they think selling an add on for a game is the same as robbing a post office. Seriously people how did you even figure out how to turn on your computer if you believe that.

First of all stop assuming that blizzard has complete control off of how people play their games. User agreements have already been deemed unenforceable in court for several companies. And legally no contact if enforceable if only one party holds all negotiation rights to modify at any given.

Secondly legal proceeding are unpredictable, even with blizzards money if someone fought this it could go either way depending on several factors.

Lastly remember that these mods do not impact the game server side what so ever. They are placed on an individuals computer to make a task easier, just because that task is dependent on another program does not mean they can force you to stop for making money on their incomplete product.

Before you people jump on the burn the modders band wagon remember that if they receive donations or some money to provide you with a worthy service that you find value in then this has no impact on blizzard. this only strengthens your enjoyment of their product.

P.S i don't buy mods the game is easy enough as is. Just give me light headed and tom tom and I'm a happy altaholic.

Activision-Blizzard is not Blizzard, part 2 {WoW}

Apr 12th 2009 8:14PM Why do people try to defend SC2 so much. Sure they might make it bigger than last time but even if its 3 times as long that just means you will be running with the same units for 3 times as long.

The article claims blizzard wouldn't release WOTLK early, even though the game released with several elements on the box omitted from the game, but then defends SC2 for releasing a game sooner for more money rather than waiting till its complete.

A sequel should expand on the original game. An expansion should then expand on the sequel. In SC2 we are getting a game with less choices than the original.

Encrypted Text: Rogue defenses need to lose the RNG {WoW}

Mar 27th 2009 2:30AM Very good article. Most of these nay sayers that insist that Rogues are still overpowered have no clue what they are talking about. Rogues are a very defensively weak class in a world of plate wearers with great cool downs, near equal stuns, heals, bubbles, and better cool downs.

Stop saying l2stunlock morons, only bad players get killed by a single stunlock. That means equal A you are alone and need to time your trinket better and have your cat bleed the rogue so he cant vanish, or B have a real bad partner.
