The Queue: Panda-monium edition {WoW}

Jul 4th 2009 10:42AM Worgen are not, at least most of them aren't, cursed humans. Worgen originate from another dimension, from which they were first summoned by some of the mages of Dalaran (Includins our friend Arugal) and, around the same time, the sentinel Velinda Starsong, in Silverpine Forest and Felwood respectively. Only recently have there been human/worgen hybrids which only appear as worgen under moonlight.

Breakfast Topic: Is your class missing out on in-game lore? {WoW}

Jun 11th 2009 6:32PM Well, warriors and rogues, for example, don't have lore about the class itself, because, unlike for example Paladins, Priests and Death Knights, they're not part of a certain organization. Paladins are, with some exceptions, either from the Order of the Silver Hand, the Blood Knights or the Argent Crusade, so the lore of those organizations is the paladin lore. Priests come from the Church of the Holy Light, the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow, the trollish Voodoo religion, and other organizations. They also use the lore of said organizations. Death Knights... Do I even need to explain? Death Knight start quests, Ebon Blade. There.
Now, rogues, warriors, warlocks et cetera have some organizations, but it's not like for example paladins: Instead of the vast majority, only some of them belong to these organizations. Rogues have Ravenholdt and the Shattered Hand and the SI:7, but due to the nature of the class from an in-character perspective, most do not belong to any of these. Same with Warriors.
Shamans actually have a lot of lore; anything involving the orcs on Draenor is somehow related to shamans, and there's lots of other lore too.

Ask a Lore Nerd: Trollin' {WoW}

Apr 21st 2009 12:56AM Actually, according to the Death Knight starting quests, the Darkspears have already killed Zalazane. But maybe they don't WANT to move back on the Echo Isles, because that's where the bad mojo Zalazane lived?

From the troll DK version of the quest "A Special Surprise":

"You don't remember me, mon? Damn da Scourge! Dey gone ta drain you of everytin dat made ya a mojo masta. Every last ounce of good... Everytin' dat made ya a troll hero, mon!
TINK . Tink back, mon! We be Darkspear, mon! Bruddas and sistas! Remember when we fought the Zalazane and done took he head and freed da Echo Isles? MON! TINK! You was a champion of da Darkspear trolls! "

If the old world ever gets phased, the Echo Isles will surely be freed.

Breakfast Topic: Vanity Items {WoW}

Mar 30th 2009 1:16AM My troll rogue on Defias Brotherhood has two items I am never going to give up:
A Crochet Hat and a Troll Keepsake (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29577).
