Cataclysm Beta: Mage talents and specializations {WoW}
Jul 15th 2010 7:16PM Did you guys check out the arcane tree
Presence of Mind has a new cooldown
1.5 seconds
Thats right folks, try and imagine what this does to the arcane tree
Know Your Lore: Med'an, Cho'gall and the Prophecy, page 3 {WoW}
May 16th 2010 7:45AM If Med'an appears in wow...
To hell with quest rewards, to hell with tier gear
I'm putting his faction to "At War".
Phat Loot Phriday: The Fire Extinguisher {WoW}
May 8th 2010 7:34AM Actually...since it doesn't have durability the weapon would be unaffected by ragnaros's aura and be a very effective weapon against him
...It works
Cataclysm Leak: Maps, models and more from MMO-Champion {WoW}
May 6th 2010 1:56PM The druid feral tree is not exactly the same
Survival of the fittest does not grant a 6% attribute increase making it fairly worthless for cat dps.
Also naturalist is moved up a spot on the resto tree requiring to spend our points differently. While bears have the obvious perseverance to take, cats only have natural shapeshifter, blessing of the grove and furor.
While most are minor changes, do remember they still havn't looked at all trees and feral is mostly still under construction.
Cataclysm Leak: Maps, models and more from MMO-Champion {WoW}
May 6th 2010 10:03AM Something also to notice for the Resto Tree
1 Tranquility is becomming a lower cooldown spell that has more usability, as obvious from all the talents expecting you to use it
2 Lifebloom is going to change to its older form since nourish will have a 100% chanse to refresh its duration
3 Druid healing seems to become fairly crit based.
4 Boomkins and Ferals seem to be expected to go higher up the resto tree using their additional points
The feral tree seems to remain largely the same, except that there is a clearer distinction between cat and bear talents
Cataclysm class previews coming soon {WoW}
Apr 6th 2010 6:35AM I hope for something...it prolly won't happen but
All dps specs are balanced in difficulty around the current feral level
I meen, while most specs are reasonable, things like arcane and ret (imho) arn't that fun
Breakfast Topic: If you could have any ability in WoW {WoW}
Mar 21st 2010 10:15AM You'd have to set that to an inn
Now teleport:moonglade on the other hand...
Suck it up mages no reagent requirement
Two Bosses Enter: Tyrannus tyrannizes Krick and Ick; Falric faces Paletress {WoW}
Mar 18th 2010 2:39PM Falric's main power is his hopeless aura. And against almost every other boss this would meen death to them
However Paletress has a way around it and is smart enough to abuse it.
The first tick of hopelessness would be on paletress herself before she summons her nightmare.
At that point she is dangerously low in health thus she shields herself, heals herself and cleans every debuff (important)
Falric has taken some damage by this point
Now as we continiue Paletress is invunerable to his hopelessness aura as long as the nightmare lives, immune to his fears and reflects 25% of the damage the fear would cause to her back for Falric
This meens her healing will remain at full strenght (and the heal is quite potent) and so do her smites and holy fire's who would be on the same target.
Meenwhile the nightmare does get weaker, but still has his fear to counter falrics's fear (be it slightly shorter in duration) and shadows of the past to greatly lower his damage for the duration
In the end it will be paletress's healing that gets him allowing her to keep her nightmare alive for much longer then usual while being able to bombarde him with her own holy spells (vs undead)
Even if he manages to kill the nightmare he'll still have to bring paletress's health down
Tom Chilton explains early WoW class balance (or lack thereof) {WoW}
Mar 5th 2010 5:39PM That kinda explains why in the name of the lord they made the original druid trees as they were
I allways figured they designed them right after a free for all at the local brewery or so
More tanking changes for warriors {WoW}
Feb 16th 2010 7:44PM And what about bears?
The just stand there being a bear having the enemy go
"O MY GOD ITS A BEAR"
although I must say a bear mauling on you would be a rather efficient way of getting your attention
