Feb 13th 2011 12:44PM I guess so...
I already have the "Elder" title (and Violet Protodrake) on my Pally, and wasn't too fussed about getting the title for any of my Alts (since you can buy epic flying now, and I'd already done all the achieves on my Main).
Despite this, the "exclamation point" on my mini-map in the centre of Orgrimmar was taunting me, and I decided late last night to put it out of its misery...
Around 11:55pm I ported to Moonglade, and thought, "what the heck, let's see if I can solo Omen..."
25mins later I had completed my one-and-only goal for this year's Lunar Festival!
The one bad point, I forgot to restock on the "Dumplings" (I still had ~30 Elders Stones from previous years), and the holiday was over (and vendors despawned) by the time I finished Omen off...
BTW, Pallys are OP! ;)
Feb 6th 2011 11:48PM Quite right... Interesting, that was quicker than the others. Azeroth is older than you know. I prefer counting from the emergence of one integral anomaly to the emergence of the next, in which case this is the sixth version...
Jan 27th 2011 1:58PM We've always called it "The Real World," quotation marks included for emphasis!
Jun 19th 2010 12:56AM Not only do I think that playing with with Addons is a crutch... playing with any UI at all is for Noobs!
I'm so "l33t" that I only play with the UI hidden (Alt-z is your friend!)
I randomly click around the screen, every so often pausing to press a key I think may be related to some sort of healing spell...
Sure, alot of characters may die, but hey, I never see anyone complain (mind you, I can't see any chat log at all), and every once in awhile, I actually complete a 5 man... I've never gotten through a Heroic, but it doesn't stop me from queueing, and I think the other characters that I group with appreciate having a healer, although they must be very busy, as the normally drop group after only four or five attempts at the first Boss...
Anyway... play WoW the way it was meant to be played... with no situational awareness at all...
Apr 29th 2010 2:02AM I once ran a VoA 25man on my Rogue Alt... I finished 2nd in DPS and Damage done... After we finished, some folks wanted to do a 10man ICC, so I dropped group and reformed with them... When they realized they had 1 too many DPS, they asked for GS, and I got kicked (not sure what mine was, I don't use the mod)...
I whispered my Recount log to the Group Leader, and told him "Good Luck... you're gonna need it..."
Dec 17th 2009 10:31PM I've been arguing for something like this for awhile...
In my "perfect world," all Rep items would be BoA, thus removing the Rep grinds. This wouldn't "overpower" new characters, as these rewards are "entry level" epics...
The other thing I'd like to see is a three tier Emblem system:
Tier 1 (Top Tier) would drop from top level content (think Frost);
Tier 2 would drop from Heroics/Old Raids (think Triumph); and
Tier 3 would be any older Emblems (they no longer drop), and all old Emblems would automatically convert to Tier 3.
Any Emblem could be downgraded to the level below (as we can do now).
Tiers 1 & 2 would be BoP, but Tier 3 would be BoA.
This would allow you to outfit Alts well, but at least two Tiers below current content...
My two cents...
Aug 4th 2009 3:48PM Is JoL affected by Divinity?
Will having Divinity (or not) determine who judges JoL?
May 1st 2009 8:39PM I'm a man.
My Main Character is male.
I thought the achievement, including being"18," was cute...
... I also assumed that female characters would get a quest where they had to put ears on male characters, level 18 or above.
This, in my view, would have made more sense, and, perhaps, avoided this type of controversey.
My two cents.
Apr 5th 2009 12:50PM Personally, I just love the look of the goggles (I use "hide helm" whenever I don't have goggles equipped). While I understand Blizz trying to get away from Crafted BoP best-in-slots, this leads to the Eng goggles being replaced early on.
I'd like to see the goggles turned into a "tinker" that is applied to an existing helm. The tinker would add the standard gas/stealth detection and farsight, and would transform the helm into goggles ala "Helm of the Corrupted Mind Goggles" with appropriate in-game model. This would satisfy me.
For those looking for bonuses on par with other professions, the tinker could add a socket (or +SP, +Hit, etc...) too.
In order to maintain balance, the schematics would have Eng and item level requirements:
"Schematic of Apprentice's Goggle Modification
Requires 50 Eng
Allows an Eng to modify helms of item level 20 and below"
"Schematic of Master Engineer's Goggle Modification
Requires 450 Eng
Allows an Eng to modify helms of item level 213 and below"
The Eng still gets the cool looking goggles, but the helm is basically whatever they've quested/raided/PvP'd for...
The random thoughts of a long-time Eng! :)
Apr 4th 2009 12:12PM Great article. Hopefully all Raiding Paladins will read this... as a Healadin, I'm getting tired of always having to explain why the Retadin shouldn't be Judging Wisdom...
