Feb 5th 2010 11:30AM When was the last time you had issues with threat from any tanking class in a raid? I dual tank with a warrior partner, we aren't threat capped by hi presence. This nerf is minor, but being a pally is like death by a thousand paper cuts, nerf follows nerf. I'm not QQing, just fed up with the way they implement the nerfs. If it was in the patch notes, there would have been a less knee jerk reaction. The funniest thing is that as another poster mentioned, surely calling for buffs to your own class is better than calling for nerfs on another?!
Jan 31st 2010 6:50PM I raid lead a casual 10 man guild, and I am a prot pally, my tanking partner is a warrior. Sure his dps is a little low, but I would never drop him for that. Good tanks control the situation, they are ready to respond to whatever the game throws at them. Their dps is totally irrelevant, if the DPS classes do their jobs in a non retarded fashion, then success or failure is rarely down to that "missing" 1000 dps. Would I like my tank partner to do more? Of course I would, but I'm certainly not going to encourage this oddly panicked view that people have of warrior tanks. Besides, his ugly Tauren butt makes me look good :)
Jan 31st 2010 6:22PM The "set them on fire" comment made me lol :) you forgot to mention that Icy Veins + trinket + blizzard produces huge warlock embarassing yellow numbers on large trash packs like few other classes ;)
Jan 27th 2010 4:13AM Auchindoun Eu was brutal last night, so I'm not convinced it is a US issue. Argent joust dailies impossible, huge vendor lag, mobs trying to get behind me constantly etc etc. We put it down to a load of server transfer activity to our realm, but maybe not.
Jan 12th 2010 8:24PM Bravo. You explained line by line why despite a 0 queue time I rarely pug on my tank. Conversely, when I dps on my Mage I am the guy that in the unlikely event of aggro will blink onto you. My current favourite peeve is dps who can't manage their threat calling the tank or other dps bad because they only understand nuke, and link the meters over and over on trash, yet stay oddly quiet after boss fights... I pity you being a Druid though, bear butt is ugly :)
Jul 29th 2009 5:36PM Reckoning. It provides a small chance to provide insignificant threat for the bargain cost of 5 talent points.
Apr 24th 2009 2:18PM Gtfo. Ulduar is rough on guilds that only faced 10 man content. The hard modes are for players that want a bigger challenge. If you think Ulduar is easy, you're one of the gifted few.
Apr 4th 2009 12:49PM Considering style and story, you would have to go for Ionar. Ichoron has already been imprisoned, and the very prison he is in uses electricity as the defense mechanism...
Secondly, Ichoron has been imprisoned by the Kirin Tor, a bunch of mages that have been pwned by various horde races since lvl 10 in Silverpine Forest. If they got him locked up, he can't be very bright.
Finally, electricity in the form displayed by Ionar produces immense amounts of heat and energy, regardless of how pure the water may be, it's going to end up as steam, possibly even being completely reduced to the molecular level.
A not very bright, and weak to electricity, elemental in the form of Ichoron will lose to Ionar, a hand picked servant of Loken, and a master of primal energy.
