lol, what? i get the public reprimand, but disenchanting loot instead of giving it to them seems like such a slap in the face and jerk move. that sends the signal that your guild doesn't think you're pulling your part, wants to humiliate you, AND doesn't want to help you progress. if any raid i was in (pug or guild) did that to anyone, i'd drop immediately.
Jun 9th 2010 3:56PM Why hasn't the TotemTalk column had an Elemental discussion in months?
Jun 9th 2010 3:54PM What happened to the elemental entries for this column? All that is posted these days is resto and enhancement.
Jul 11th 2009 9:23PM this post's analysis of elemental shaman itemization is spot on. i really hope blizz considers some of your solutions regarding making spirit more viable as a stat.
Apr 6th 2009 2:05PM In your item about Arms Warrior DPS, you say that you've seen an Arms warrior does around 2800 DPS, whereas Fury does around 3200 DPS. I always hear about people boasting about a specific number of DPS they can do (especially in LFG), but I've never understood the following: What baseline do people use for comparing DPS?
For example, I'm an elem shammy. I do about 3.2k DPS on a fight like Patchwerk (single-target tank and spank boss), but do considerably less on a fight like Gluth where there is an AoE component to the fight, and considerably more on other bosses (like Thaddius or Loatheb where you get damage buffs).
TLDR: When people talk about how much DPS they do, what baseline are they using for this info?
